Our Cabin is nestled between the Bradshaw mountain ranges at 5,800 feet and just 8 minutes from Downtown Prescott and only 3 miles to beautiful Goldwater Lake. Most other attractions such as Watson Lake, Lynx Lake, and Sharlot Hall Museum are just a short drive. This vacation rental is the perfect home away from home, sitting on 1.65 acres and expanding 2160 sq. ft.. This open floor plan home has a large and comfortable bedroom and an open loft Bedroom with some great views, as well as Two-and-a-half-bathrooms. The Cabin can comfortably accommodate up to seven people (2 king beds, 1 queen inflatable mattress, pull out sofa sleeper and 1 twin roll-a-way).
With a wraparound deck, you can take in the beautiful sunrise and enjoy the forest landscape with its stunning views. Summer temperatures are about 20 degrees cooler than those in Phoenix, with cool mornings and evenings in the summer. Wildlife such as deer, javelina, coyote, and wild turkeys can often be spotted on the property. In the evening, enjoy the sunset and then end your night with some star gazing that you just cannot get in the city.
If the indoors are more your style, enjoy the window nook just off the kitchen, or soak up the heat from the fireplace while playing board games. The screened in deck area is great for lunch, dinner or a happy hour. Floor to ceiling windows create a relaxing feel.
Recently under new ownership as of October 2021, this mountain home is equipped with WIFI, in case you need to get a little work done or stream your favorite shows and movies. Cellular service through Verizon and a few others, help keep you in touch. Tastefully decorated with down comforters (in the winter months), a Keurig coffee machine at the coffee bar, along with a well-stocked kitchen.
If you are looking to visit Downtown Prescott, only 8 minutes way, you can stroll the local stores, enjoy delicious food, and be close to everything you need. Grocery stores, such as Sprouts and Safeway are also just 10 minutes away.
We are happy to say we are dog friendly. A fenced dog area is just outside the screened in porch area for convenience. With a total pet fee of $100, we welcome up to 3 fur friends. Sorry, no cats allowed at this time.
Please be advised, due to its unique location and the home being a bit off the highway, there are 2 areas of semi steep incline/decline areas to traverse. While our Honda CRV (2 wheel drive) has no issues with this, we want to inform all guests that areas of the road are rather typical of a mountainside home. Pick up a little speed as you come up the driveway, and you will be fine. Additionally. in the winter, Prescott can receive a few days of snowfall each year. Heavy snowfall/ice may bring some challenging road conditions on the short dirt road. While not normally necessary, all-wheel drive is encouraged in the winter months. In the unlikely event, weather may extend your stay a few days since snowplows cannot be guaranteed.

Summary: We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more! This home is conveniently located close to Whiskey Row strip which is where we enjoyed most of our time. It’s tucked away in the woods allowing for us to enjoy the quiet nature and wildlife. The home is open and clean. 10/10 stay. We will certainly be visiting again!

Summary: Nice and a little secluded. Great open space inside, great views, wildlife to watch, and a great view into the night sky. Stores, restaurants and entertainment are not far. All you need inside, outside and around for some relaxed days off of the busy city and work life.

Summary: Pros first: Authentic cabin feel, secluded property, abundant wildlife. Desert backyard for dogs was great. Cons: first night the fire alarm 20 feet up on second story started interval screeching at 1:30am due to low battery. When it started, sent management an email it and called in the morning. Was told they could not get someone to fix it due to it being Sunday. I told her it kept up last night. No real concern or condolences provided. Lady called back later that day and said she tried to find someone but could not find anyone. By this time, the alarm beeping stopped around 12 am. Thought it was dead, but Noooo. The next night around 4 am it started again and stopped again sometime around 12pm. A guy called and said he could not come to fix it till Wednesday. I sent a message and updated the property management and informed them the guy was coming Wednesday and it has gone off every night. Return reply: thanks for letting me know. Was the annoying fire alarm done?? No, it went off sometime in the early morning every day we were there. Wednesday we waited for the guy to come and fix the alarm. We decided not to stay the last day/night. We had not slept good between the hard bed and the fire alarm going off. I felt like the fire alarm was treated like an insignificant thing and not priority with the management company.
