Summary: Our stay at the Cedar Hill Lodge was fine. We stayed for 8 nights - from Friday, July 18th to Saturday, July 26th to be near my husband’s family while they were camping at their property in Brevort. For the duration of our stay, we were on the ground floor of a building called The Cedars. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed dark dirt footprints on the wall next to one of the beds - this wasn’t a great first impression. The flooring, old carpet, was also slightly damp (the entire time) and the room smelled musty. We weren’t at the motel much and only used our room to sleep and shower. (This was due to family members owning property nearby.) I wouldn’t book a room here again, but it served as a decent home-base for the week for my husband, our two young kids, and I. My family would rate this motel a 5/10.

Summary: The bath tub held water when you take a shower. The rooms are very out dated. The carpet need pulled out.

Summary: The price for a two night stay with three beds and a pull-out couch was less than $700 and we spent more than that at another hotel for only a two bed and their bed sucked so did everything else there they were disgusting but Cedar hills Lodge was absolutely amazing they were clean they had lots of space their beds were absolutely so comfortable I actually slept really good for the first time in a hotel they even had very comfortable blankets plenty of towels free Wi-Fi we had a balcony there was a pool a couple of bonfire pits and they provide the wood for you lots of people were going out there to different ones to go do different things just hang out quietly or some were doing karaoke outside there's a volleyball net. Their pool was big and it was warm in there the only problem was there hot tub was not working and when they got it working they accidentally put too much chlorine in there it was very strong to where it was burning your eyes you couldn't sit in it but they immediately took action and turned it off and put on sign up the office workers are very helpful whenever you had a question or if you needed extra towels etc they were always willing to help without question and you even get a free breakfast in the morning which by the way was awesome because you can make your own waffles they had sausage eggs bagels muffins juice coffee that you can make yourself it was a really good breakfast too we made sure that we didn't miss it from 7am-10am plenty of time for it

Summary: Let’s start with the pros: photos on hotels.com are great. Looks like a nice lodge. Check in lady was nice. Lobby was nice. Proximity to lake and ferry was good. The pool looked nice as did the small garden area. Cons: initial room was grubby and dark. We asked to be moved to a better room and the desk lady said there really weren’t any better but let us check out a double. It was equally dingy but a little brighter, still we moved. Walls and ceilings were scuffed and grubby and there was an ugly leak in the bathroom ceiling. When we finally went to bed, when we rolled back the sheet there were two long black hairs. Yuck! I asked my girlfriend if she wanted to leave but she said let’s tough it out as it was 10:15pm. She picked up the hair with tp and we slept only under the sheets as the blanket looked gross. It was a sleepless night-as even with the blinds closed the lights shined in from the parking lot. I usually have positive things to say about rooms but this place was gross. No idea how it got the high score on reviews except it appears that someone used the same review over and over (10/10) but under different names.

Summary: I would go back to this hotel, maybe other hotels have a better view or are newer, but you can't beat the price. The breakfast could improve a little, if all you need to sleep, this hotel is ok, I really didn't try any of the amenities, but every thing is driving distend, there is a supermarket across the street.

Summary: It's an ok place to stay for the price. The place is run down; tiles broken, carpet fraying, bedding and furniture could use some updating. It was clean, though and the kids really liked the outdoor equipment and pool. Breakfast was just ok; bananas were badly browned and the selection of healthy options non-existent outside yogurt. They do have a waffle maker which was a popular choice.

Summary: We checked out yesterday and realized that my daughter accidentally left one of her air pods back in the room. We called a few hours after checking out and the gentleman at the front desk put us on hold and went to the room to check. Kudos to him for going above and beyond and checking for us right away. I never leave reviews, but had to leave one for this employee who did a great job and made our day better by taking care of our concern immediately. The lodge is very clean and there was lots of food to eat up until the end of breakfast time. It was a great place to stay and wish we would have had more time to use the amenities outside.
