You can walk to baker / grocery stores, pizzerias, a very delicate ristorante, pharmacy, bar, etc. (up to max. 400m away) via very nice footpaths of the medieval village center. The sea is about 8km away.

Summary: The house “Casa Catarina” is a great holliday home in the beautifull village of Dolcedo. We had all the things we needed, from the bank, chairs, kitchen table till the full equipped kitchen with even a Nespresso machine! What is mostly a problem with Holliday homes is the cleanly issue but here it wasn’t a issue at all. Everything was clean and I wasn’t afraid of using. The house was warm even in wintertime and the issue there was with the hot water was solved within a day. Anne who was our contact was wonderful and very quick in reaction. She took care of everything that was needed also to step in our car, when we didn’t read the instructions good and ended up ( as we were warned for) at the wrong end of the street, and made shure we managed to get it right. The fireplace is something that we want in a Holliday house was a nice and worked fine when we understood the working of the airstreams. When returning to the region we will again rent this beautiful house that suited our right in the Xmas and end of the year period.

Summary: My family and I were lucky enough to stay in Patrick's house in Dolcedo this month. The house exceeded all our expectations. It was immaculate, spacious and beautiful. It was equipped with everything we needed and all the appliances worked well. The village's history is well documented but it also had everything we needed without having to drive. There were shops and restaurants for every occasions. The new ice-cream shop next to the post office was a huge hit! Thank you Patrick for all your helpful advice during the week. We will return!

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Casa Catharina. The river and mountain views from the backyard area are really stunning. The house is beautifully renovated and fully equipped. The kitchen was especially impressive: great stove, good pots, Nespresso machine: everything you could want. We visited as a couple, so used only the downstairs bedroom: the bed was very comfortable. The house, with its thick walls, is perfectly quiet. There are some great running paths into the hills above, leaving directly from the house. Anna, who manages the property for Patrick Kuckertz the owner, was great: helpful and pleasant. (Her English is great also.) Patrick was also great to deal with on email, and everything went smoothly on payments and deposits. We did most of our grocery shopping at the Co-op in Imperia, which is not the closest grocery store but which has a great selection (especially if you like to buy organic). We did have some problems with the internet connection while we were there--we couldn't get on after the first couple of days. We loved our stay and can highly recommend this property and area.
