The room is enormous — 72 square meters — beautifully decorated with antique furniture that makes you feel like time has paused just for you. The private bathroom with walk‑in shower adds modern comfort, while the views down the hill are simply breathtaking. Breakfast was a delight: a continental buffet with fresh juice, local cheeses, and fruits that set the perfect tone for the day. The setting is wonderfully peaceful, with a sun terrace and garden to enjoy, plus free WiFi when you want to reconnect. Activities like walking, biking, and hiking tours are available, and nearby gems like Lyon and the medieval village of Pérouges make exploring easy. What really made the stay special was the hostess, Isabelle — warm, welcoming, and attentive, she made us feel completely at home. For dining, the nearby La Bicyclette Bleue restaurant is a great spot to savor local specialties. In short: a truly unique and relaxing escape, where history, comfort, and Isabelle’s hospitality come together beautifully.

Positive: Staying in a Chateau was a great experience. The room we stayed in was huge and very accommodating. Great shower and the breakfast was plentiful. Our host greeted us and showed us around the estate. He recommended a nearby restaurant the Blue Bicycle, which offered us free cocktails as we were staying in the Chateau. We took a lot of pictures and the property was lovely, with the Donkeys roaming nearby. Picturesque. Would definitely recommend.

Negative: The interior courtyard was not freely accessible. We did have a nice tour of the space and it was not an issue for us, but for those looking to utilize that space, it is not an option. We had free access around the Chateau with an outdoor table and chairs, so it really was not a major issue, but worth mentioning.

Summary: Great experience and room was perfect for our one night stay.

Positive: The stay in the chateau was a surreal experience. It was an opportunity to take a step back in time. The room was furnished in medival furniture, which were so beautiful. The bed was so comfortable that I had never slept as well. The location was so private and calm and a suntrap to boost. The owner gave us a wonderful tour of the chateau and we were amazed at how authentic it is in a modern world. As my partner lived the homemade jam he was given 2 pots for his future breakfasts in France. Such wonderful.generosity from wonderful hosts

Positive: We stayed there twice on our way to the South of France and on our return. Wonderful chateau in peaceful surroundings. Exceptionally large room and splendid bathroom in the 14th century tower. The bed was easily the most comfortable bed we ever slept in and the pillows were fantastic. The hosts are very welcoming and charming and kindly showed us around their property. The donkeys in the field were a bonus! I want one too for our farm.

Positive: The facility was historic and amazing. Staff was polite and helpful. The room is massive and the breakfast was nice. The pool is good for a hot day. Overall the peace and quiet is unbelievable. Friendly donkeys are cute. Plenty of parking.

Negative: All the food options are a drive. Hard to figure out where to go for check in when arriving. The room doesn't have AC or a fan so somewhat warm until the sun goes down. A window in the bathroom didn't have a way to cover and you could see directly into the shower. Television is too far from bed if you watch from there. Door doesn't lock from inside.
