3 bedroom newly refurbished chalet in Matchams, Christchurch. Private fenced garden with patio. There is a pool on site parking for 2 cars. Lake and picnic area attached to site. Nearest beach is about 10 minutes in the car. Christchurch is 10 minute drive away. Local shop is 5 minutes and is open quite late. The site is quiet and friendly. If you prefer to be alone you can be. All residents on site live there, and will always give you advice if required. We have a patio area with table and chairs and a gas bar be q a car is needed for this property.

Summary: The limited space has been used well in the chalet, making it feel quite spacious. Right in front of the door is the swimming pool, which the children immediately wanted to use. Before settling in, it was necessary to clean first, as it was really too dirty to stay. This was very disappointing to us and we immediately reported it to the owner. The "camping" is a collection of chalets around an outdoor swimming pool. We had expected more families with children when we chose a camping during holiday time, but outside the weekend there was hardly anyone present. This allowed us to use the swimming pool privately, but we had been expecting more company for the children. Although there are beds for 6 people, there is room to eat with 4 people. After the unpleasant start, we had a nice, quiet week in the holiday home.
