Positive: The location was beautiful and very remote. The stream was so close to the cabin and you would walk for far with . It was very peaceful and the cabin was very clean and tidy. The wifi was perfect and Netflix/You Tube worked seamlessly. The water was lovely and hot and provided a great shower. We met the host Jack, who seemed nice and he hand delivered us some free range eggs which was a nice touch. He left us in peace but was around if we needed hm. We felt very safe at the property.
Negative: Sadly the pictures aren't up to date as none of the hot tubs work which was so upsetting as I had filtered my search to include a hot tub. This was a main factor of our trip. Facilities mentioned CD player and radio but this wasn't available either. The pictures also show the cabin in a remote piece of land but we actually had a cabin either side of us so I think the picture shown is also a little out of date. It didn't ruin the stay having other cabins as they are positioned correctly so you have privacy and only one was booked but its not quite as its shown. I even contacted Interhomes to ask a few questions and asked how close the other cabins were, I now know why this didn't respond to this part. For the price of the cabin, it was pretty minimal inside. Coffee machine but no coffee pods, no teabags/coffee sachets and no complimentary toiletries in shower. I think for a luxury cabin, there could have been a few little extras to make it feel homely/special. I spoke to Jack about the hot tub and he said the advertisement should have been updated so I dont think its their fault but its definitely a wrong description and should be updated asap. Don't let the above put you off as it was an amazing trip in a stunning location. I feel like I've really seen the Highlands now and I fell in love with it all.

Positive: Private location in wooded area . There is a friendly Robin who lives outside Rowan Cottage & will fly in if door or patio door is left open
Negative: The property needs a deep clean . Cobwebs inside the property ( around the Velux windows) . Outside windows of property dirty & need good clean. Lounge chairs very uncomfortable. Radiator in Toilet/Shower did not work . Eclectic mix of plates & cups

Positive: Good location well stocked corner shop and lovely pub around the corner a short drive from loch ness and under an hour to inverness
Negative: The towel radiator didn't work reported to host he said someone would be round Monday and it was never fixed very hard to find host or to get in contact with him. Had a few problems with the boiler not working either.

Negative: House is made of wood so a bit noisy between floors. Bring toilet paper as there's not enough for 4 people.
