Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Very nice and warm reception by the owners and their dog (Django). You are free to roam the property and the gardens are wonderful, full of fruit trees and berries. I went for an afternoon run with my son and we were accompanied by Django all the way :-) The morning we left, he had to leave early, really early, 4.30 o’clock. The host was so kind to prepare us breakfast at that time so we would not start our journey feeling hungry. Super nice!
Negative: Nothing
Summary: Warm hospitality and lovely location!

Positive: The hosts were wonderful, we had some good chats about the location and some of its history, as well as places to see nearby. There is very little light pollution so we could really see all the stars on the night we stayed. The three of us are vegan and when we mentioned that they included a wonderful fully vegan spread the next morning for breakfast, absolutely lovely and we were so happy! If we're ever in the area again we will absolutely book again!
Summary: Wonderful accommodating hosts, lovely place!

Positive: Lost in time. Authentic French Property with character. Rooms decorated with flair. Communal table in the kitchen for breakfast. DD exhibition (ask to see it as you won’t know it’s there and you won’t be able to find it). Clean room. Comfy bed. This has been their family home for 30+ years
Negative: Overpriced for our Very small room and no facilities. Shared toilet down the other end of a corridor which wasn’t pleasant to use during the night and the downstairs door was unlocked and open 24 hours. No wardrobe or draws to put away any of our clothes so we lived out of our suitcases. Very small shower with a small entrance door into it. An old shower with body jets that didn’t work. Only two small towels for our two night stay and a hand towel. No facilities to make yourself a drink and nowhere to go other than our room. We didn’t see any of the facilities named in the listing such as badminton, etc. Walls were paper thin so you heard everything from next door. When the communal toilet was flushed the pipes vibrated (sounded like a fog horn) in the ceiling above and around the whole building. Which subsequently woke you up through the night. Gardens need some TLC and general upkeep

Negative: Nothing! It’s a chambre d’haute
Summary: We will be back 😀😀

Positive: Great peaceful rustic location
Negative: I think for the price it was expensive given a shared toilet and general state of facilities. That said staff were very pleasant and welcoming.
Summary: For those wanting a rustic experience with character

Positive: Eric and his family have a gem of a property that they are painstakingly bringing back to life. Our room was basic but clean and comfortable. A beautiful rustic property in the countryside, but only 10 mins from Bayeaux and easy access to all the historic sights along the Normandy Coast. No alarm clock was necessary, as we were awoken by beautiful birdsong. Breakfast is served at the communal table in the kitchen and consists of homemade jams, bread and croissants served with excellent coffee and fresh orange juice.
Negative: This was not a dislike for us, but areas of the house are being renovated, so there is currently no sitting room or dining room available if the weather is cold or rainy. We used the kitchen on a rainy evening to have a glass of wine and to use the internet to plan our sightseeing itinerary.
Summary: "It is what it is"- A peaceful, rustic, rambling old Manor House in the French countryside
