Summary: This home was as described. We needed a place to stay for a wedding in the area and this fit the bill. It was also roomier then the pictures showed. Note it is a 1800’s home but was exactly as pictured, no surprises and would stay again if in the area. We had a nice weekend stay and it had all that we needed. Owner was very responsive and accommodating to our needs.

Summary: Upon entering the outside was super cute, exactly as pictured but you could tell the inside had been closed up quite a while. The musty, closed up, old smell was not exaggerated as other posts had said. We immediately opened up all windows upstairs and went to the local Dollar General to buy air sprays and renewzit canisters to place throughout. The fire pit at the creek was supposed to have wood available to burn but was only a couple of pieces Ne not enough to do so. It was also located under some trees and not the safest. The creek was not easily accessible to enter and was a lot deeper than it seemed. The beds were comfortable and slept well. There were spider webs on the kitchen windows that would’ve easily been cleaned up had someone done so. The listing said there was paper products you could use but was only paper bowls. The fridge had some leftover water bottles that should’ve been thrown out. There was also some foods and spices that were old; the sugar expired in 2021 for example. The washer/ dryer didn’t work and you would have to use the laundry mat down the road. The paper brochure for the house had good information but the paperwork it advised you to use “in the drawer” was either not there or super old. We left an updated Cooperstown map/ brochure. We made the best of our 3 nights there. The kids all played in the play room which was a nice added space and outside. We used the grill and it worked out fine. Idk that we’d use it again.

Summary: The house was very unique. Like you were taken back to the 60s or 70s. We especially enjoyed the fire pit by the creek. The only thing we weren't 100% satisfied with were the beds. They could have been more comfortable.

Summary: A beautifully well-kept house. Charming, cozy and comfortable. The decor matches the era of the house and it contains all the essentials. Communication with the owner was the only issue I had as it took an hour of calling and texting to get the code for the door upon arrival.

Summary: I would stay again. Two sides of the property are on the quiet dead end street. One side is along a main highway. When i slept with with windows open traffic did wake me. Everything is old but I love that kind of charm in a home. The owner was very easy to communicate with and was very much willing to help. It's a30 minute drive to dream park.

Summary: This is a wonderful place. The surrounding area is beautiful. The home is pretty well kept and all communication has been perfect. I would have liked to have had a hair dryer and soap and shampoo on site because we came from the west coast. Those are things we didn’t bring but we were in a safe place, a clean place and a fully functional place. So grateful to have this place where we could visit and enjoy the down time that we did have. Thank you so much.

Summary: We loved the home and all of the antiques that Shelby has decorated the home with. Also, loved all the books on Upstate New York, our former “home”. It was wonderful being back in Morris for a happy family event.
