This beautiful and tastefully updated home in the Villages makes for a wonderful getaway. It has 2B/2B with a fenced in backyard and enclosed lanai. It is a short walk from our house to Spanish Springs Town Square, and numerous restaurants and stores. The villages has so many wonderful amenities and fun activities that are convenient to this location. Lake Sumter Square is a short distance away and is easily accessible by car or golf cart. Golf carts are a popular means of transportation at the Villages and can easily be rented and even delivered from several nearby stores.
The home has all new furnishings and includes everything you will need to feel at home. This is a ranch-style house with no stairs to enter the home or any of the rooms.
The master bedroom has a large bathroom and walk-in closet and a wall-mounted flat screen television. You can step outside from the master bedroom through your private entrance onto the enclosed lanai. The screened lanai is welcoming and is equipped with chairs and everything you need to relax. The lanai is also accessible from the living room through a separate set of French doors. The second bedroom has ample closet space and a full-size bed. The dining room, which is just off of the living room has a beautiful large dining room table. There is a sliding glass door off of the dining room that also opens to the patio area within the fenced backyard. The backyard offers privacy as it is fully enclosed within the fence. There is also a walkway to a new cozy built-in fire pit. This house is close to all amenities that the Villages has to offer. Our favorite thing to do is to walk to the Spanish Springs Town Square and participate in some of the many activities that The Villages provides.

Summary: This house had everything that we needed. Location was close to entertainment. Short drive to food that was great. We did not need to contact the host as everything was fine. We tried to leave house as clean as when we arrived.

Summary: The Good: It is in a great location. You can easily walk to Spanish Springs. The check in was easy enough. Outdoor seating was a plus. The lanai was screened in and you can open up the wall of windows fully to get a great breeze. It's a nice house, except for The Bad and The Nasty. The Bad: There were clothes left in a dresser that the housekeeper was supposed to remove before we checked in. The microwave stopped working on 21 Nov. The host was going to replace the microwave, but it didn't happen while we were there and we didn't check out until 30 Nov. The garage door opener is deafening. You push the button and run in the house to avoid the noise. And The Nasty: We get into the house and found that someone had used the toilet without flushing and the tub had not been cleaned. Of course the host did send housekeeping out the next day, but it left a bad first impression. The microfiber kitchen towels had hair in them!! I used the one hanging on the stove and found the hair, so I put that one in the laundry and pulled another out of the drawer; it also had hair in it. After we WASHED the towels, they no longer had hair in them. Begs the question as to how well the house was really cleaned. Sorry, but I would not recommend staying at this house.

Summary: Great place that was close to the Spanish Springs town square, walking distance in fact. Lot of good music, great car show, restaurants and shopping there. Found Lake Sumter town square as well. Spent lots of time there. In two weeks, pretty much figured out the entire area in case we decide get a place there.

Summary: This lovely home is in an older part of The Villages but it's fully renovated and the town square is a very short walk away. Although the Spanish Springs location was new to us, my husband I I fell in love with the town square at night which transforms into a beautifully-lit adobe village filled with music.. If your needs include a patch of grass for your pet, look further. The backyard is all rock (until the renovation is complete, I'm guessing). Since we don't have a pet this didn't bother us at all. It just added to the Southwest ambiance!
