Charming 4 bedroom cape cod. It is a very cozy house on a 3 acre lot. Lots of green space to enjoy.
If you are looking for a family vacation or just a quick weekend getaway, the 1000 Islands is your perfect home away from home. Whether you plan to enjoy ice fishing, hiking trails, summer golf trip or boutique shopping. A stay at the 1000 Islands makes the perfect escape from the hectic city life.
Located on Howe Island Ferry Road, our house is a 10 minute drive to downtown Kingston, and right next door to the ferry dock that takes you to Howe Island.
What makes our property unique is the green space inside. We have a solarium which is converted into a greenhouse. It is a more natural section of the house. There's lots of beautiful plants to see.
We have 24 hour surveillance on our property.
Guests are welcome to use the ground floor and second floor of the house. Basement is unfinished, therefore it is not available for use. Please do not use/ enter that space.
There is a wood burning fireplace in the living room. Guests to bring their own supplies for the fireplace. Firewood etc is not provided.
We have a few maintenance personnel (snow removal/ landscapers etc) who come in from time to time. If you see them on the lot, do not be alarmed. They will not be entering the house.
There is a solarium/ greenhouse inside the house. It is part of the house, guests are welcome to enjoy it. You may see some lady bugs. Please keep the space clean and close doors behind you.

Summary: This house totally served our needs and we had a very enjoyable time. We sat outside and had a fire in the fire pit on two evenings. We had 16 people and the house really lends itself to entertaining... very interesting areas in the house. Everyone enjoyed themselves. The property could be spectacular with some badly needed TLC.

Summary: Stay was good however it was raining and then there was nothing to do really, wished it had pool table and some games. No hot tub, was disappointing and no kitchen hood fan that was filling the place with little bit of cooking. Needs quiet s as bit of Reno. Kitchen knives were very very dull. Very old place. Bed sheets, pillows were very good and clean and lots of supplies. Great place but need major Reno’s. Thanks a lot

Summary: Stayed with friends for the weekend. Overall its a nice place, very spacious and lot of bedrooms ( and beds). The kitchen is very well equipped. Host is very responsive and answered all our queries prior to visit. Backyard garden space can be cleaned up a bit. Although there is a fire pit and the deck is decent..Washroom locks may need some fixing. The ferry station is a 10 min walk.The nearby beach (with loads of parking space) is a great place to spend time. It was an enjoyable trip for us!

Summary: There were dirty dishes left in the dishwasher when we entered the property which was an unpleasant experience. Other than that everything else was pretty good.

Summary: Property has great potential with a wood burning fireplace and jacuzzi tub. Updated kitchen stocked with spices and even pancake batter and syrup. Large yard with gazebo and lots of deck chairs. Property needs some TLC to live up to its potential. Good luck to the new owners

Summary: The house is beautiful and clean. My family and I had a great time here - lots of space, great location for Thousand Island adventures, nice fire pit in the back. The only things I'd change are the thermostat (the air conditioner was on full blast and we couldn't figure out how to change it) and the untended ponds on the property which ensured lots of mosquitoes (who couldn't be deterred by anything - a combination of long sleeves, repellant, and a big bonfire did nothing to stop them from eating us alive). The mosquitoes were so bad that we weren't able to properly enjoy the fire pit and backyard. Otherwise, we had a great time.
