This house sits on 2 acres of land along the bay at the end of a quiet dead end road. It is a truly wonderful home with all the charms of another era combined with the modern comforts of today. The furniture is a mixture of comfortable modern furniture and antique furnishings. The main house has a living room, family room, four bedrooms, a large eat-in kitchen, and a full bath. The addition has one bedroom, a living room, full bath, and an eat-in kitchen. For your enjoyment, the house has a Bose wave radio with cd player and ipod adapter.There is also a wonderful outdoor enclosed shower. This house is perfect for an extended family. People from Wellfleet love this home and will tell you it is one of the nicest spots in Wellfleet and very private. The original house was built in the 1700's and the addition in the 1800's.
The house is a few hundred steps to Uncle Tim's Bridge( walking bridge), which brings you into to Wellfleet Center. There are walking paths along the ocean directly in front of the house. It is a short walk to restaurants and shops and approximately a mile walk to a beautiful bayside beach, tennis courts, basketball court, and playground. You can dig for mussels right from the property. Provincetown is a short 20 minute drive away.
This is an original, antique cape house with beautiful views of the harbor. You and your children will love this house and the ample room you have to explore the outdoors in a truly private picturesque setting. You can spend your time here and never feel the need to get into your car. There are more pictures available on request.

Summary: Perfect walking location to Wellfleet. Great to walk to restaurants, shops and Harbor! Nice yard and deck. Charlotte was FABULOUS to deal with!! Photo that persuaded me to choose this house, however, is very misleading. Only tiny slivers of water can be seen, NOT at all like the photo. You have to walk down to the path. I am unable to add a photo that shows the true view. Overgrown shrubs and trees- no water!! House was not dirty per se, but tubs and kitchen were so old they appeared in need of being cleaned. If you are picky about bathrooms or need an updated kitchen/house, this may not be the one for you. But if you want to walk everywhere and have lots of beds to crash on at night, think about this one! It definitely grew on us as the week went on!

Summary: Terrible communications between myself, VEBO customer service and the owner. When we arrived a family related to the owner was mistakenly occupying the house. VRBO was unable to resolve the situation eventually the owner’s family helped reach the owner who confirmed her error. We’re it not for a friend living in the area, we would not have had a place to stay after our 5+ hour drive to Welfleet. The house was very lacking in electrical outlets or extension cords and I had to report to plumbing leaks to the owner. Even after the cleaners came, there were cobwebs and bugs in several rooms and the window screens had numerous gaps allowing more into the house.

Summary: Great location, fantastic yard for the children. Walk to the Pearl and the Pier. Host was very responsive and accommodating. Very old house, if you’ve never been in a real “colonial “, it may not be for you, but the sprawling layout allowed any of our family of 12 to find a quiet place to read or work. Would definitely stay here again l.

Summary: We loved overlooking Wellfleet Harbor and being able to walk into town. The home had plenty of room to spread out and we really appreciated having two refrigerators. The outside shower was amazing -- none of us even used the indoor showers. The home is dated but comfortable.

Summary: This is a charming antique house in a beautiful location in Wellfleet. However, I have to agree with the previous reviewer that the condition of the house has deteriorated beyond what should be expected at this price point. To give concrete examples: parts of the wall frame show on the staircase where the plaster has fallen away; we found an old dirty diaper in another stairwell; the wooden floor around the toilets is wet and mouldy, and there was smelly brown water coming up in the lawn which we could only assume was from a septic field.

Summary: Beautiful view, deck and location but house itself is in serious disrepair. Owner gracious and accommodating but house has been permitted to deteriorate beyond what is really acceptable in a high end rental

Summary: The deck with its harbor view is the most relaxing place on the Cape. The location is wonderfully quiet and yet close to all the things you might want to do. The host is most courteous and responsive, but we didn't have to bother her once because everything worked as expected. Great place for family, friends and pets. Thank you, Charlotte!

Summary: The process for renting the property was very easy, the owner was extremely accommodating and helpful. Unfortunately, we were the first renters of the season and we were there very early and they haven’t quite had enough time to get the unit in tiptop shape, but we still had an excellent time. Location is good, wonderful deck with view of the bay, spent a lot of time sitting outside had a wonderful picnic out there.
