Tyra's Cabin
Tyra's Cabin is a log cabin and has a very charming interior. All old details are well preserved, such as the frames, doors and the wedge-sawn floor in the living room. Tyra's Cabin is a romantic gem for the couple which goes on holiday and seeks calm and quiet. The house is equally as suited for families with young children who seek country activities and time to spend with the family. In the kitchen there is a dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker, stove with 4 burners and an oven. Naturally there is a fridge, freezer and washing machine. In the living room there is a comfortable sofa, chair, flat screen TV and children’s' games to enjoy in the evening or on rainy days. Tyra's Cabin is 75m2. Outside the cabin there is a lovely 40m2 patio with garden furniture and a BBQ. On the patio you have the sun all day and you can sit there and watch the sunset. You have your own garden of 900m2 with fruit trees and berry bushes. All electricity and heating is included in the rent of Tyra's Cabin. You can choose to, in addition, pay for end of tenancy cleaning and to rent bed linens and towels if you wish.
Sällegården
Today we have three houses here at Sällegården. Stina’s Cottage (Property: 1401235), Erik’s House (Property: 1225168), and Tyra’s Cottage (Property: 1232926) are available for booking on a daily or weekly basis, all year long. Many friends book two or three of the houses in the same week for having their holiday together. Sällegården is located in a typical Smålandian village, similar to Bullerby or Katthult in Astrid Lindgren’s children’s books. The house is painted red with white trims. On the yard, you can fish, go sailing in a rowing boat, ride a horse-drawn carriage, walk in the woods, pick mushrooms and berries, and cuddle with bunnies or the cat. Many guests come to us just for experiencing the calmness and quietness, which is a unique touch. Particularly calming is Lake Vrången, 5 km away from Sällegården. There, you have free access to a boat.
On Sällegården, there is a working farm with grazing animals during summer. In the summer of 2013, we opened our little yard shop. There you can buy eggs, the farm’s very own cold pressed apple juice, jam, cordial and handcrafts from Sällegården. The yard shop also works as a small tourist office with tourist information.
One of the larger attractions here at the farm is the cozy, carpented wooden sauna by the farm pond. The landlord speaks Swedish and English. Sällegården is charming and beautiful during every season. It is well worth a visit for genuinely experiencing Smålandia.

Summary: For us (my wife, two kids (7 and 10) it was the first time in Sweden and we felt in love with the countries, the people, the culture but more important with the house in Sallegarden! We often said to each other "Bullerbu is real"! Sandra, Matthias and their kids are amazing and gave us always a "home" feeling! Whenever we will be back in Sweden - hopefully next year - we will stay again in Sallegarden! Thanks for the great time! Best, Thanh

Summary: We really enjoyed the beautifull cottage and surroundings. It was a great place for our daughter ( 2 years) with the animals nearby to visit and the swings. It's an idyllic place. Really good supermarket is about 15- 20 minutes by car in Vetlanda. Lots of places, attractions etc to see within half an hour - hour distance. Also the possibility to visit the lake and to go rowing, cycling, walking in the woods and the sauna made our holiday complete. An ideal place to escape from the busy lifestyle and enjoy the beautiful nature, animals and of course the fresh eggs from the chickens at Sällegarden en the lovely jams made by Sandra. We would really recommend it!!

Summary: We went to Sällegården in May/June, and it was awesome! Sandra and Mattias where super-friendly and instantly made us feel welcome! This was enhanced by the fact that Tyra's Cottage is a lovely place that has the feel of a genuine home, as opposed to a vacation apartment. You definitely get the sense that this house was built for people to live in (which it was), and not as yet another sterile vacation facility. Our two children (4 years and 1 year) really enjoyed the huge garden as well as the swing and bunnies on the premises. The nearby lake (5 minutes walk) and sauna are extras that we gladly used. As for activities, you have an abundance of choices: rowing or fishing with a small boat that comes with the house, elk parks, Astrid Lindgrens Värld (a highlight – with or without children!), longer day-trips to the coast, hiking, or generally enjoying the great nature in Småland – it's hard to get bored around Sällegården! We would recommend a stay at Tyra's Cottage, and we plan to come back!

Summary: We had a very relaxing stay in the cosy, typical schwedish house. Even so there were no activities available around Sällegarden in winter, we made ourself comfortable in Tyras Stuga and found everything to our full satisfaction. On arrival the house was lightened and heated, so it was a pleasure to arrive (-15° outside). We also used the sauna near the pont twice, after we had lightened up the wood stove. What a pleasure! We have been there with 3 persons, but the house is definitely comfortable for 4-5. There was plenty firewood available, which we used every day to heaten up the tile stove in the living room. Long walks in the slightly snow powdered surrounding as well in the nearby cities completed a wonderful week. Dear Sandra, thank you very much making our stay so relaxing and comfortable. If we have the chance, we will definitely come back again.

Summary: Tyra's cottage was as described by the owners, it was really very cosy and we had everything we needed. We had a warm welcome. Nearby there's a sauna and a small pond, ideal for the children to row the boat. We had wifi in the barn, and fresh eggs, jam and lots of information. A great, relaxed vacation in beautiful Sweden!

Summary: Very pleasant stay in the middle of a swedish forest . The house is very comfortable, the owners are also very nice people. what can I say more, if you are looking for a calm house, if you like the country, this is a very good place, but the city is not far.

Summary: We were 5 young people 18-20 years of age, who visited Sallegaarden over New Years. We rented Tyras Hus on Sallegaarden, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the cosy Swedish atmosphere which Sallegaarden accomodated in buckets. Small red and white Swedish homes, and the fantastisc little sauna leading straight out to a small bathing bridge into the lake. Winter bathing not for the faint hearted :-) The house is perfect for 5 people who know each other well, and the atmosphere is great on the farm. The house was very well equipped for everything, all we needed was there. Clogs and slippers, bin bags, towels. The small walk up to the collect wood, all part for the farm atmosphere :-) During summer i think the big wooden patio would be great, with grill, utilising all the space. Two parking spots, for guests, with plugs for the classical nordic engine heaters. We had a lovely stay, and can only confirm that they are a lovely family, a lovely farm, a great house, and well equipped. Would definatly recommend it to others.... Until I return, then I want it all for myself :-) shhh... keep the secrect of this great place, this little slice of heaven. :-)
