Erik's House
Erik's House has year round standard and is very charming renovated in 2010 and 2013. The building is old and new mixed. The beds and all linens are new, while the wooden sofa in the kitchen belonged to the farm for over 100 years. The kitchen is of high standard with dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, stove with four burners and oven. Of course, there is fridge, freezer, washing machine and dryer. The living room has a comfortable sofa, armchair, flat screen TV and children's games to enjoy in the evening or on rainy days. A large storage room is built together with Erik's house. The storage used for winter storage. You live for yourself throughout Eric's house is on 140m2. You have a private garden of 700 m2 with fruit trees, berry bushes, garden furniture and barbecue. Just outside Erik's House are all rabbits and chickens in their cages summer. Erik's house is child friendly with gates on the stairs, highchair and toys.

You can choose to, in addition, pay for end of tenancy cleaning and to rent bed linens and towels if you wish.
Sällegården
Today we have three houses here on Sällegården. Stinas Cabin (Property 1401235), Erik's House (Property: 1225168) and Tyra's Cabin (Property: 1232926) are available to book on a daily or weekly basis throughout the year. Many friends book the houses the same week to share a holiday together.
Sällegården is in a typical Smalandian village similar to Bullerbyn or Katthult in Astrid Lindgren's children’s' books. The houses are painted red with white frames. On the farm you can fish, row a boat, ride a horse and carriage, wander in the forest, pick mushrooms and berries, and cuddle with the rabbits or cat. Many guests come to us just to experience the calm and quiet which is slightly unique. The lake Vrången is especially calming, it is 6 km away from Sällegården, and there you have free access to a boat and fishing permit. On Sällegården there's livestock and grazing animals during the summer.
In the summer 2013, we opened up our little farm store. There you can buy eggs, carrots, rye bread, jam, squash, and crafts work which comes from Sällegården The farm store also functions as a little tourist agency with tourist information.
One of the major attractions here on the farm is the cozy timbered wood sauna by the farm pond.
When you live with us in Sällegården you can buy breakfast all year round. You then get to enjoy a real Smalandian farmer breakfast with yoghurt, muesli, eggs, coffee/tea, home baked bread and juice. The breakfast is delivered in a breakfast basket to the house or we put it in the fridge the night before. If you'd like breakfast you can order that when you make your booking.
The landlord speaks Swedish and English. Sällegården is as charming and beautiful during all of the seasons and worth a visit to genuinely experience Smaland.

Summary: We spent a very nice week in Sandra "Erik House" for Xmas time 2017. Sandra is a charming woman, who knows when to be there and when leave us alone. We spent hours in the old style Sauna, wooden heated, and in the little lake in front of it. The house has 2 very big rooms with comfortable beds, and sandra can provide fresh eggs, delicious jams, or some homemade fruity juices. So don't hesitate : Try "Erik House" to Vetlanda. Et pour les français : Allez-y ! Vous ne le regretterez pas. Jean-Luc

Summary: The farm is beautiful, Erik's house is very pleasant and the hosts are very helpful. We enjoyed the hiking and sauna at Sallegarden and there are great hiking trails, swimming and lovely towns nearby.

Summary: We stayed in "Eric's Hus" for six nights winter time. We were two families with taken together three kids under three years of age. There was plenty of room for all of indoors, the kitchen is fully equipped including transistor radio and additionally to the electric stove there is a wooden stove. The view is lovely, even from the kitchen and they surroundings are splendid for a family vacation. You can ride the sleighs that belong to the farm downhill, make walks and go ice skating or use the sauna down the hill five minutes walk away, where you can make a hole in the ice of the pond and dip in Sweden style. The contact to Sandra an Matias was very warm and friendly and the price in clearly worth the money! Cheers, Jan

Summary: We were super happy with that beautiful place to stay. If you want to have a super Swedish farm experience, take this place. It is a traditional farm which was nicely remodeled but still has the charme of the old times. There are three family homes on the ground, plus the owners home. Each a separate house - so you have your privacy, but there are great chances that other families are on the farm as well. So our kids could play together with the kids of two other families. The kids loved to play with the cats and rabbits and the other farm animals. The owner are super friendly and helpful, everything is well prepared: detailed maps for hiking, best bath and fishing places, things to do, plus the home-made food, fresh apples and berries from the trees and bushes, mushrooms from the woods around, boats on the small lake near the house and another on a bigger lake a few minutes away. Bikes to take, fishing equipment, whatever you need - it's just available. The icing of the cake is the small sauna house directly on the lake. What a fantastic experience to go there during dusk... We definitely recommend this place for a family, and couples who wouldn't mind having kids around :)

Summary: We celebrated our father's 65th birthday with a trip to Sällegården . It proved to be a very nice cabin. Just outside there were rabbits , chickens and swings which the kids thought was great fun. We were given a guided tour by horse and carriage through the countryside. It was very nice. The entire stay was appreciated by everyone from the smallest child to the 65 -year-old himself. The hosts were very nice.

Summary: We stayed here 4 days over christmas. We were 2 families so we needed a lot of space, so we are very pleased that we could stay in "Eriks house". We were very welcomed by the family that runs the place, and we felt like home. We loved the nature around us, lovely for kids with the horse- and sledge, sauna by the water where we also had a barbecue, walks in the forest, visit the animals in the barn... We had a lovely christmas! We are thinking about a visit again in the summer. Thank you for the hospitality and beautiful living at Sällegården, Småland. We highly recommend this place for tourists from other countries if you want to see beautiful Swedish nature.

Summary: Nice place in the midle of the forest. You can relax and enjoy there is very quiet. There a lot of Things to see, if you would drive some km. We were at Vastervik, Vimmerby and Vetlanda. We were out on a ride in the Familys carriage and it was a guided tour, where you felt that you where back in time and a part of Astrid Lindgrens books.

Summary: The stay at Erik's house was very nice , we were there with our son who is studying 10 months in Vaxjo , so that we could celebrate Christmas together . The house was warm , the heater does well . We were also very pleased with the kitchen , cozy and spacious so we could cook there to turn. The sauna that we could use was delicious over 85 degrees. Outside it was - 13 degrees, we had to make a hole in the lake at the sauna to cool us. The setting is beautiful, we walked a lot . We also visited a day at Husqvarna , where we visited the museum, very nice also for the youth. Sandra and Mathieu it was very nice to be able to use your Eriks house.

Summary: We stayed at Erik's Hus for a long weekend and enjoyed fantastic weather and great hospitality. The house was spacious, airy, clean, comfortable, and along with the sauna down at the pond was even better in real life than the photos suggest! Sandra and Mattias were welcoming hosts, and the cats were too! During our stay we used the barbecue, the bikes, the sauna, and popped to one of the larger nearby lakes to borrow the rowboat as well. Beautiful. Selfishly, I would like to award one star so that this fantastic place stays secret! We will definitely be back and definitely recommend this place.
