Completely renovated 1840 country house with lots of room, convenience and quietness. 4,000 sq. ft. Country kitchen (range both gas and electric; gas ovens) creates memories, dining room seats 12, eat-in kitchen, library, wifi in every room, living room with fireplace, Den with tv and games. Screened-in porch. Seven beds: 3 queens, 2 full, 2 twins (some with "Sleep Number" mattresses with hypoallergenic covers). Five full (plus one half bath) bathrooms. Wide, carpeted stairs with hand-rails connect each floor. "Comfort Height" toilets; 3 walk-in showers; one air-circulating tub. Laundry facilities. Porch swing, side patio deck, lawn furniture. Fenced in side yard.. Cable and wifi connections. In a rural setting, only a few minutes to Danbury and Washington, Connecticut private schools and Mayflower Inn. Check out New Milford "green" with its quaint shops, movie theater and library. Numerous parks, hiking trails, fly-fishing, skiing, private schools, antique shops, famous historical sites, restaurants, golf courses and churches and hospitals.. Home to "The Elephant's Trunk" - one of New England's most popular flea-markets (featured on television programs).

Summary: We were a group of nine and needed the space and bathrooms. It looked amazing online, but the home and the kindness of the owners far exceeded our expectations. The grounds and flowers were beautiful. We were there for our son’s wedding about 10 minutes away. We were proud to have others come by and visit at this home. The owners were most helpful throughout the process. It felt like we were staying in a friend’s home. The even had the world’s best blueberry pie waiting on the kitchen table for us.

Summary: After just recently moving to Connecticut from Pennsylvania my family wanted to come up and spend Christmas. We decided to rent this beautiful farmhouse because of its size and location. From the rental process to the check out we were not disappointed. The living areas and bedrooms and bathrooms were awesome!!! We had a nice fire going on Christmas morning in the sitting room. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to enjoy time in southwest Connecticut.

Summary: Excellent thanksgiving. Weekend stay for the whole clan. Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and spaces. Definitely not cookie cutter and someone’s cares for home with lots of supplies.

Summary: The owners left us farm fresh eggs, freshly baked bread, and muffin mix for the morning! They placed many convenient things all around the house to make us feel at home. We felt the kindness!

Summary: My husband, three children and I stayed at the house for 4 nights for a little getaway. The house is very charming, well-stocked and incredibly comfortable. We also loved how convenient the house is to both Washington and New Preston. Yasmina, the property manager, was in touch as soon as we booked and was available throughout our stay. We would happily return!

Summary: We had a lovely weekend at the home with another couple escaping the city for the weekend. The accommodations were perfect and the kitchen was great for cooking at home. Everything we needed was within 5 minutes of the house and the house was well suited to lazy, relaxing days. Can’t wait to visit the area again!

Summary: We found the home comfy! We enjoyed the spacious gourmet kitchen with all it all its amenities. It was great to use the fire place. They even supplied a bunch of wood for us to use. We hiked at a nearby state park that was refreshing with a beautiful view of the Housatonic River! I would stay here again.
