Fondly known as the "squrt", our darling square-yurt on the water awaits you! Newly built only in 2015 w/ gorgeous & unique ceramic tile floors, a full kitchen & bathroom, and a darling outdoor bistro area. Then, it was lovingly designed with touches of greenery throughout the home to give you a cheerful lift. You will find a peaceful night of rest on 100% cotton sheets on a very high end and comfortable queen size bed, the Helix Dawn Luxe, and & blackout curtains on every window.
The queen size bed in the bedroom is like sleeping on a cloud. The sofa bed features a very thick cool-gel foam topper. A toddler mattress and a Pack n Play are available for your little ones. Stay in a gorgeous place for the famous Gateway Harbor seasonand Canal Fest!
Please note that the home is semi-open concept and has an approximate 18" fully open space between the bedroom and living room. The bedroom has a fully opaque privacy curtain that functions as a door to the hallway. The bathroom is fully private and separate with a wood door and self-contained from all other areas (just like in most other homes) - you can sit assured there won't be any embarrassing sounds heard lol.
The cottage is on a large corner lot. The water view can be seen right from the front windows and door and is 3 min walk away, if that. There is a large semi-circle driveway shared with another unit (homes are completely separate). You can easily fit two cars here. There is no overnight street parking November to April.
Please note that the TV is a streaming Roku TV with access to 1,000 free live TV domestic and international channels (Buffalo WGRZ is available) as well as any streaming channels you subscribe to (Netflix, Hulu, Disney, etc.). This is not cable television.
A starter pack of shampoo/conditioner and a small bar of soap is provided for your convenience. Please be sure to bring your own preferred toiletries should you need more than 2 days worth.
As part of our commitment to providing a welcoming experience and aesthetic, we occasionally update the home’s interiors with added touches of design and comfort. While furnishings, wall colors, and decorative details may vary slightly from the photos, each element is thoughtfully selected to include organic greens, soft coffee tones, and natural wood accents. To ensure the highest standard of cleanliness and sophistication, all bed linens are kept in pristine white.
There is audible live music from a nearby restaurant starting approximately in May through September. They play at various hours (not all day and not everyday) but the restaurant's operating hours are approximately 11 AM to 8:30 PM, 7 days a week. They have great ice cream!
Stay in a beautiful and historic neighborhood where convenience is just minutes away. A famous carousel museum, antiquing and wonderful restaurants are right in town, 5 mins away. There's even a castle in town! Niawanda Park/Niagara River is just steps from the front door. Playground, other parks, 7/11, supermarket are all a 3 min drive down the road. Target, other big box stores, outlets, SUNY Buffalo, city of Buffalo are just 15 mins away, Niagara Falls, Niagara-Buffalo Airport (BUF) and the Canadian border 20 mins away, Toronto 90 mins away. The home is conveniently located between Niagara Falls and Buffalo in a charming waterside town.
IDs of all guests are required at time of booking and check-in. Any unregistered guest is prohibited on property overnight. There is 24/7 recorded outdoor video and audio surveillance on property.
Guest shall only use the premises for residential uses and not to carry on any business or trade. Guest will comply with all laws, rules, ordinances, statutes and orders regarding the use of the Premises, and will not cause any disturbance. No excessive noise allowed at anytime. We are in a quiet family neighborhood and need to respect our neighbors.

Summary: We came into town for a family event and this house was a perfect home base! Nice quiet neighborhood but with the river walk and several restaurants just a few steps away. Summary: The house was just as listed. The bed and couch were very comfortable. Place was clean and in a great location. Walk across street to park and the Niagara River. Close restaurants. Hostess was attentive and very helpful! Would recommend staying here and plan to stay again in the future.

Summary: The place was awesome for a weekend, but we ran into some problems. Dishes were dirty, so I had to rewash everything. The shower curtain didn't fully cover the shower, leaving a gap. Under the couch was disgusting – with the dishes, I couldn't tell what was clean! And the microwave was broken; it filled the place with smoke when we tried to use it. I think the smoke alarm was broken too, because it never went off. Great trip overall, but not as clean as I'd hoped.

Summary: We spent 16 nights here between the Yurt & Cottage, Both properties are on the same lot but far enough apart to lend plenty of privacy to both. Circular driveway services both units that are supplied with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Both my wife & I agreed that we will return. The only issue I found was the showers did not have a safety rail or grab bars to hold onto to prevent one from falling & causing an injury, otherwise the Yurt & Cottage are great BnB places for a temporary get away or family visit.

Summary: All the nice things of a hotel, only more! This sq-yurt has a full sized kitchen, good-sized bedroom with an oh-so-wonderful mattress, a cute front porch where you can listen to music from a local joint 1 block away (the music ends around 10 pm and you can't hear it from the bedroom), and a nice living area. And, no noise from other guests! and off-street parking (a plus in the area where it is located). We were in Buffalo to visit family and friends and this little cottage was just perfect for us! Probably the nicest VRBO we've ever had.
