Only a stones throw away from the lake, this cozy “air conditioned” one bedroom studio efficiency has a deck overlooking the lake and is only 12 miles south of downtown Traverse City . The cottage can sleep 4 (best suited for 2 adults and 2 children) and has a deck that overlooks the lake and is a great place to end the day. Kayaks, canoe and a rowboat are available to explore one of Northern Michigan's most beautiful natural areas. The lake is also known for it's great fishing.
The cottage includes everything you will need to make "Time Out" your home away from home. Now with air conditioning, the kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, microwave, refrigerator, automatic coffee maker, and toaster. Dishes, pots and pans, glasses, silverware and cooking utensils are also provided. The cottage has a double sofa sleeper, and cable television. Bathroom with shower. Summary: Quaint little cottage with views of the lake. Beach area was quite unkept. We thought about using a kayak or row boat but they were under water. Spider webs everywhere including the boathouse so relaxing by the beach was out for us. The tables and chairs on the shared deck overlooking the lake had green mold on them. A little power washing would go a long way in the shared areas. But the cabin itself was nice. A little bit scary when we plugged in the toaster and the lights dimmed. Maybe an electrical check is due. Other than that it was wonderful!

Summary: We were in town for a wedding. We wish we could have stayed longer but it was peaceful for the time we spent there. We would rent here again!

Summary: The cabin was cute, it is small but I liked it. Reminded me of my childhood, and cabins I used to stay in that area growing up. Yes the water has a smell, but trust me I have smelled worse. I was able to use it to brush my teeth, and it was clear, typical well water. Loved the easy access to the lake, water is clear and clean. I would definitely stay there again, for the price it is a good cabin, loved I was able to bring my 5 month old lab, she loved the water, and spending time outside. Oh and loved sitting on the deck enjoying the view of the lake.
