Experience an escape to the country in this charming four bedroom, fully equipped, two storey country house with extensive rural views and everything you and your group will need for a relaxing break.
Located at the entrance to the Southern Highlands, you will enjoy this light filled home where you can sit by the fire, snuggle up under feather doonas, sleep in big comfy beds fully made up with fresh towels for the morning and head out for an adventure.
Wake up to a stunning sunrise and cook up a hearty country breakfast in the kitchen or prepare a bbq breaky on the sunny deck, prior to venturing out for the day. This country cottage is just 10kms to Bowral, known as the centre of the highlands, located on the Sydney side, in a small hamlet called Aylmerton. Originally the Station Masters cottage built in 1927, with a second storey addition in 1985, and renovations in 2016, it has obvious character and warmth that all our guests love. The cottage sits in a peaceful location on a no through road that overlooks the main southern railway line, a horse stud and has extensive rural views.
Perfect for your family or perhaps two, three or four couples wanting to get away and experience the local offerings of great cafes and patisseries, beautiful boutiques, bookstores, lifestyle and vintage shops. Visit some of the many local wineries on the food and wine trails, take a scenic country drive through rolling hills and purchase local fresh produce at the farm gates or spend a morning at one of the village markets to pick up some home-made goods.
Enjoy a paddock to plate tour, experience a high tea in the highlands, yoga in the vines, have an old fashioned picnic or walk into an historic pub and have a yarn around a welcoming open fire. There are many waking trails, cycling trails, golf courses and the famous Bradman cricket ground and museum is a must visit. So much to offer!
Return to the cottage, open a bottle of red, prepare a sumptuous meal to share in the dining room, relax by the BBQ for a casual meal or sit around the open fire pit for some good conversation and laughs whilst enjoying the night stars.
A couple of days will feel like a week and you will feel fully recharged.

Summary: This property had everything and more that you could possibly want for a comfortable mini break away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. It was the perfect location for our family to gather whilst celebrating our sons wedding at Growwild, the accommodation is 8mins to the venue. Very clean and well stocked. You wont be disappointed in this country stay. Your home away from home.

Summary: Had a great time at this property, we where in town for my daughters wedding and the house was perfect for the interstate members of our family. Lots of information was received from our host (although I was very slack in not responding). Highly recommend this home.

Summary: The cottage/ house was very clean and nice and spacious, great heating and fire facilities to keep warm with the cold nights! Cosy place, only downfall is the trains going past in the backyard but besides that nothing to fault Only improvement would be to have a second bathroom, would stay here again , hosts were so quick to respond to any query’s and easy to deal with :)

Summary: Such a lovely cottage. Cosy, full of character and with beautiful views of the countryside. This was our second stay at this house and it was just as lovely as we remembered.
