Summary: Large apartment on main Street. Luckily good windows meant street sounds weren't a problem. Good bed and pillows, good linens and towels. The kitchen was pretty basic and retro. Shower cramped but functional. Easy walk to centro storico. Loved having free parking behind the building. We enjoyed our stay.

Summary: I wish we had stayed longer! I guess that says it all. The property was great and very well located, walking distance from the old city center. Love the spacious apartment and the place next door with the best arancini ever! The beaches at Baia Verdi were fantastic and there is so much to do around we really ran out of time with a short week. My daughter got sick during the trip and our host was so kind to point us in the right direction to get her medical attention. Only more days could make the vacation better as we would have liked to explore the area more. We visited Otranto and Castro, Santa Maria Di Leuca and Lido Pizzo. All wonderful, but did not have time to go to Ugento where I was hoping to taste some olive oil. Thank you Antonio, our host, for everything!

Summary: Conveniently located for shopping and restaurants. Walking distance to old town. The apartment is spacious, comfortably furnished and, very importantly, has parking in the back. The view from the balcony is of the port. The street is very busy, but the noise was not a problem. The owner, Antonio, was very gracious. A great choice!

Summary: Me and my companion spent our second holiday in this apartment where we really felt like home. We were there the past year and we fell in love with this place that is very nice even in low season. So with no hesitation we booked this apartment and had the pleasure to meet Antonio for the second time! Indeed the owner is very kind and accommodating, always on hand in case that we needed anything. We enjoyed to stay there because the apartment is very comfortable and equipped of all you might need on holiday...we never missed our own home staying there! The location is very central, you are on the main road so all the kind of shops are available at a short reach. You can also reach the old town in a few minutes and enjoy the narrow streets and the seaside. On the opposite side of the apartment you can reach different beaches and walk along the sea. The food is very good too, every day we bought fresh fish, fresh bread and fresh vegetables, so we tasted the local products that are very delicious. Another positive aspect of staying there is that there is easy access to other sights, so you have a wide choice of places to visit... We really hope to be able to stay again there next year and we want to recommend this place to all the fellow travellers. Kristina and Pinuccio

Summary: My wife and I enjoy Europe. We learned a few things in our travels. Avoid long lay-overs. (Who needs 17 hrs. travel time?) Locate near the city center. (You'll save time and transit headache.) With lodging, try for light, space and views. Rail travel beats car rental. (Buy your tickets in-country.) Weather can make or break a trip. (Don't get me started on Dublin and Edinburgh.) Guys, use the money belt. In crowds, let the wife walk a few paces ahead, you on her purse side. Welcome pleasant surprises. We found Bath and York more enjoyable than London. The same with Rouen, Caen, Bayeux and Rennes -- they after Paris. Southern Italy? Put simply, Tuscany now has a run for our money. In 2012 we visited, by train, Bari, Ostuni, Lecce, Otranto, and Gallipoli. The seven nights in Gallipoli were the highlight. We plan to return. Stelle sul Corso suited our needs. (Except for the small kitchen sink located next to a wall.) Antonio owns a nicely appointed property, and clearly takes pride in presentation and upkeep. Secure, centrally located, you're buying light, space and view. Take a close look at the "balcony view" picture. There is your thousand words. Should you arrive by train, don't follow the Goggle map. That will have you walking a rutted back alley which intersects Corso Roma on a diagonal. Instead, with the train station directly at your back, walk straight ahead up to Corso Roma. Turn right on this brick-paved boulevard. The water will come into view on the right. The apartment is across, a ways further on. Look for the restaurant umbrellas. Don't fret about the outdoor seating directly below your window. Noise was not a problem. The wind must blow out to sea. Paul Burton San Francisco
