The Baehr Haus on the Fox River is located within walking distance to restaurants, shops and bars! Close to Appleton, Lambeau Field, and Wisconsin International Speedway.
In keeping the character of yesteryear with comforts of the present, we present to you this spacious 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath home.
Travel down to the waterfront by way of the rustic rock stairs behind the garage or take your car down the side road, allowing access to the lower level of the lot with lake access with pier and firepit. Perfect for fishing, swimming, and roasting marshmallows.
The main level has a beautiful sun room with a couch/daybed with a trundle (twin mattresses) with a half bath. Take in the beauty of the river and foliage while working at the desk in this space, too!
Second level room 1 master bedroom king bed with full bath, room 2 queen bed, room 3 twin bed with a trundle and a full bath.
Lower level access offers a whole new space for adults, teens, or kids to spend time in while relaxing, playing games, or simply getting their needed R&R. Big screen tv, comfortable futon, couch, full bath and additional queen and twin bed to complete the lower level.
You will receive an email with check-in instructions a couple days prior to arrival date. Check-in time is 3pm and check out is 11 am. Any requests outside that window may be made in writing to our host.
Walk to restaurants, parks, Electric Lanes bowling alley, coffee shops, library, church, bars, etc. We are close (within 1-4 blocks) of all of these establishments.
Kayak or boat between the Fox Locks (Kaukauna 1 and Combined Locks) to your heart's content. Beyond this, check the locks schedule at Fox Locks.
Easy and within 20 miles to Lambeau Field; 3 miles to Wisconsin International Speedway; 6 miles to Soccer Heaven Sports Center; 5 miles to Thedacare Regional Cancer Center; 16 miles to St. Norbert College; 7 miles to Lawrence University...great central location with lots to do!

Summary: Our stay was for 1 week with family. Summarize with Pros and Cons: Pro; Host for the most part was responsive with text and calls. Great Area.Space was enough for our group with a great view of the River (Please note its a hike up and down to the river). Cons: Not as described. States 3+ Bathrooms. Actually 2 with 2 halfs. Pics are not the same showing the property. Pics were staged to show property looking better than it was. Lower lever could not be used due to Sewer gas smell. ( fortunately we did not need it) No cleaning supplies IE Broom etc.. No Grill tools. Pot and pans are dated. Trash was full outside on arrival. The area by the river was muddy and unuseable our entire trip but the host allowed us to move the fire pit. No Kayak, games etc as described. Windows have not been cleaned probably in 1-2 years. This home needs work and we believe the goal of a "Old" historic look was not met. It appears that both VRBO and the host must not see or inspect the property as it is very evident that whatever services etc are used is not being checked. (pics are available) If VRBO and the host read the reviews most of our comments are noted in past reviews. Would not recommend and its sad seeing the town and area are great.

Summary: Nice stay, good place for exploring the area. House was clean except for the windows...very dirty. Could have used a few more hooks in the upstairs back room closet.

Summary: We used this a space for our large family while in town for a wedding. Location was great with beautiful scenic views. Tons of sleeping options for multi family use. We would stay again!

Summary: Overall it was a great stay. It slept all of us and was a great location. Check in instructions need to have more detail. No mention to use the FRONT door. Trying for hours to get in the side door, as this door had a lock box. Several of us tried, but since it was dark (no front light on) we didn’t see the key pad on the front door. Tried calling and texting the host for hours, but no answer. Had to call VRBO and get an alternate phone number and almost had to stay at a hotel. When guests are checking in, thermostats should be set to a normal temp. It was very cold in the house, especially since we weren’t able to get in for so long. Light string in the basement bathroom broke when we turned the light on. Understood it is an old house. May need to upgrade the bath light fixture. There are a few bugs in the master bedroom. But understand it is an old house. No garbage bags and recycle can in the house. Clock in the kitchen needs batteries. We picked up cigarette butts in the front yard, as we didn’t want that to be held against us.

Summary: We stayed at the Baehr house for a long weekend. There were 7 of us total and the house had plenty of room for all of us with room to spare! The house was comfortable and well stocked with all necessities, even coffee grounds and filters! The mattresses upstairs were memory foam like home. The only tiny issue we had was the upstairs bedrooms were a little chilly the first night and we couldn’t find additional blankets. I reached out to the owner and we were shocked and pleasantly surprised to find a delivery of brand new blankets on the front steps when we returned that evening! Would definitely stay again. Thanks!
