Welcome to "Second Wind", this lakefront home is perched over Lake Gaston, and offers amazing views. Located just over an hour from Raleigh or Richmond, this professionally decorated, 2100 sq/ft home features tasteful nautical decor. Enjoy the private boat dock perfect for swimming, kayaking or just relaxing on the oasis mat. The kichen is fully stocked & the gas grill & outdoor dining are perfect for al fresco meals. Finish the evening with s'mores around the firepit, gazing at the stars.
This 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home features a family-friendly, single-story floorplan with great areas for togetherness, as well as comfortable spots for private retreat. The main living area includes a game nook with a rustic, custom chess table and ‘treasure chest’ loaded with puzzles and games for all ages. Conveniently and centrally located is the kitchen and dining area. Outfitted with all your culinary needs, including specialty items such as low country boil pot, Croc-pot, ice cream machine and fondue kit. The kitchen has two counter stools and immediately adjacent is the large dining table. The family room offers ample comfortable seating, including sectional sofa, club chairs and a large smart tv.
Off the family room is a generous screened-in porch overlooking the lake, a perfect spot for a quiet cup of coffee, daytime reading, happy-hour cocktails, or enjoying the fantastic sunsets. Beyond the screened porch is a deck with outdoor dining table, a pair of rocking chairs and gas grill.

Outside, in addition to fun around the firepit, there is also a cornhole set, kayaks, oasis mat, and noodles to keep everyone entertained. Water at the dock is 11 ft deep, perfect for jumping and swimming. Don’t forget your fishing rods and tackle, or even better, your boat! There is a spot for your boat (or you can rent one from one of the local marinas) at the private boat dock. The neighborhood slip is just around the corner from house. The home is at the end of a private drive and has a large paved parking pad that can easily fit 5+cars.
***Please note, there are many stairs on the way to the dock. The walkway offers areas to rest as needed, but please know that anyone with walking restrictions or limitations may have a difficult time getting down to the dock.
The community dock is only 2 minutes boat ride and could be used to pick up and drop off a mobility limited guest.
We have the best WiFi available in our area, however, download speeds can vary depending on weather, number of devices, etc. But hey, you’re at the lake, try to disconnect from your device and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. 😊

Summary: We had a great time and the house was perfect for out family. The dock was great and my only suggestions would be if you plan on brining a boat, like we did, bring a few extra bumpers for tying up you boat. The neighbor is quiet and the ramp is just down the road from the house. Everything was clean, well kept and perfect for out family vacation. We will definitely be back again!

Summary: Our family joined another family of friends for a lake vacation. The house was supplied with everything we needed - indoor games, outdoor games, deck chairs, kayaks, life jackets, water mat. We had to contact the owner a couple of times, & they were quick to respond & extremely gracious. We fished & swam off the dock. The town had a great fireworks show for July 4th. We had a great time & made great memories. Internet service was good & TVs were set up with streaming services, although we didn't use them much. :) Highly recommend!!!

Summary: Our group loved all this property had to offer! It was the absolute cleanest property I personally have ever stayed in. My hats off to the cleaning crew! The kitchen was very well equipped which was a huge plus because I cooked almost everyday. Our favorite space was most definitely the screened in deck. It was such a great space for the guys to unwind after a hard day on the water…when it was too cool we just moved into the living room. The house is decorated perfectly and the furniture was all so comfortable! The owners had a house manual that gave all the information for the house…I wish all property owners would do this! If we come back to the area we will DEFINITELY book this property!
