The house built in 1903 is on the edge of a pretty hamlet and 2 kms from shops,with a big garden and lovely far reaching views. At the foot of the grand Colombier (Tour de France), 12 miles from the lac du Bourget, an hour from Geneva and Lyon;
Our second gîte is ideally situated for fans of sport ( road cycling, VTT, water-sports, walking, Fly fishing, horse riding...),nature and Wine tasting (There are grape vines at the bottom of the garden and wine producer 100 m away and about 10 others within a 6 miles radius).
Ideal for families with children of all ages and pet friendly, the gite is equipped with swings, table tennis, American billard table, private south facing swimming pool (10 X 5 meters), jacuzzi 7 places a "petanque" set balls and games.
The "Old school house" is a relaxing authentic French hide away in a beautiful undiscovered part of France.

Summary: This Gite is spacious and well fitted out, in a beautiful, peaceful setting within easy train or car distance of Lyon, Geneva and regional towns that are well worth visiting - Chamonix and Annesee for example. Local village meets all shopping needs. Our hosts, Sarah and Claude were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. They and the Gite and location made it a 5 week trip to remember.

Summary: Such a lovely place to stay, absolutely amazing views and so close to Col du Grand Colombier. A 10 min drive to Culoz where you can get a cheap 1hr train journey to Geneva, or slightly longer to Lyon. Would recommend to anyone and also would stay again without hesitation! Just fix the oven!! Summary: This area is just stunning and the hosts are a fabulous and responsive source for all enquiries. The house feels like a true experience of rural France and the pool area is the cherry on top - wouldnt hesitate to return.

Summary: We stayed 6 nights in the beautiful house and very much enjoyed the swimming pool, the extraordinary views on the Alpes, the French bakery in the village and of course the winery next door! Sarah was very friendly and had great tips for us on short excursions for us and the kids. Absolutely fabulous whether also.

Summary: A perfect "gite" for a any sort of holiday, well located, beautifull swimmingpool, flexible host(s), supermarket en 5* pizza restaurant nearby, 5 min from the grand de colombier, col and mont du chat and many nice hills within traveling distance. It does not really matter if you would like to relax and stay around this "gite" with friend or family, will cycle, or do both you can do for days, weeks or ...

Summary: This was our second time staying at Sarah & Claude’s gites, the property was fantastic, everything that we could have wished for. The swimming pool is just lovely, with views of the mountains and right next to the local vineyard, we spent so many hours in and around the pool, we loved it so much we booked for next year. The Gite has a pool table, table tennis, trampoline and climbing frame so helped keep the kids entertained when not in the pool. There are many local lakes which quite and peaceful, if you into cycling you have so many miles of great roads to explore and can climb the Grand Colombier from 4 different routes, on a clear day the view from the Grand Colombier is spectacular, watching sunset with a 360 degree view is amazing, with Mont Blanc in the distance. There are so many things to keep you entertained whilst you stay, from local walks, parcore to canyoning depending how energetic you feel. Sarah & Claude are tremendous hosts and make sure that you have a lovely break. A trip to the local vineyard to sample the wines is well worth it, and allows you to stock up for your stay. As a family we totally recommend this area and the Gite.

Summary: This is a great spot for enjoying the countryside, walks, waterfalls, lakes and rivers. Sarah was there to meet us and provide useful tips. Not a great deal to do when it rains in the local area but I'd happily return to enjoy the pool and surrounding vineyards in the sunshine.
