3 Bedroom House in Maple Plain

Cozy cottage style Lake House perfect for a relaxing weekend. Newly remodeled in 2016, this getaway offers an open kitchen with brand new appliances, a large jacuzzi style bathtub/shower with heated bathroom floor, large master bedroom with spectacular lake views, a hot tub, boat house deck, a "pub" style bar, 85" television, Pacman/Donkey Kong arcade machine and more. The Lake House is adjacent to a lovely city park with swing sets and picnic tables. There is also a boat landing next to the park for those who want to bring their water toys.
Great swimming with a Lillypad water mat, paddleboards and kayak. There is also a nice dock, but please note that it is shared with two other neighbors and is technically on park property, yet accessible from the park staircase adjacent to my yard. Although I rarely see the neighbors when I'm there, once and awhile they might use it to access their boat or the lake. This is one of those neighborhoods where people are friendly, hang out together, enjoy the lake and kids play ball in the streets. It's a lot of fun that way.
Another note about this house. It is not a dedicated VRBO property. That means it will have some of my things - such as clothes in the closet. There will be plenty of space for your own things and it will be as cleaned up and inviting as you should expect. But some people prefer to have their rentals empty, so I just want you to be aware that it will have a lived in feel. I'm doing this as a fun way to share my house. It will include dishes, utensils, plenty of cooking tools, bath towels, beach towels, laundry detergent and probably an extra bottle of beer or two.
My Lake House has been designed for easy living and getting away from it all. It's not a new property - in fact it used to be a bait shop decades ago, so it still has that old house/cabin charm and its own wonderful imperfections. But a great effort has been made to create a cozy, enjoyable getaway where family and friends will enjoy life at the lake, all year 'round.
Only 25 miles from downtown Minneapolis and only 5 minutes from charming downtown Loretto where you will find some great eats and treats.

Summary: It was well appointed and very clean. Bed was very cozy. Downstairs very inviting. It always had the feeling you were in someone else's house though...and they were watching you.

Summary: The house is great - perfect for families with younger kids, as it has all these cool features (e.g. the clubhouse!) that the kids loved discovering. The location is great - right on the water, right next to a little playground, beautiful sunset views! And the owner is great - very communicative, helpful, and welcoming!! I would definitely recommend this and am even considering renting it again for my own family!

Summary: I was hosting family who was in town for my son’s 19th birthday. Due to Covid we were not able to truly celebrate his 18th nor his graduation, so we decided to go a bit extreme this year. The lake house was a great location, it was beautiful and so cozy. We had people coming in and out everyday and it was not an issue with the neighbors. We had a range of ages and everyone was able to be entertain, so overall great choice for us. The property manager was great! Great communication and so accommodating, we would definitely stay again.

Summary: This was a perfect place to stay for our weekend get away. The view, the lake, the awesome bar area and hot tub were the highlights. There were a few areas that could have been a little cleaner (jetted tube/cobwebs) and if you would stay for a full week make sure you prepare to not have full fridge and even less freezer space. Owner very responsive a great hospitality! Overall would definitely go back!

Summary: My family (2 adults, plus a 14-year-old & 10-year-old) spent a long weekend at this cabin in order to get a “COVID-friendly” change of scenery. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and arcade machine, hubby enjoyed the bar area and watching March Madness on the big screen TV. Being March In Minnesota, we didn’t do a lot outside, but we did have a bonfire one night and went for a walk on the hiking/biking trails nearby. The owner, Michael, was helpful, considerate, and generous.

Summary: We loved this location for the family on Thanksgiving. A few snowflakes and great cold weather. We spent a lot of time inside and the lake house suited our every need. Enjoyed the fireplace, fun in the kitchen, nice playground and inside fort (hideaway) for the children. Plenty of space, and wow! for the many football games on the big screen TV. It would be awesome to have the opportunity to enjoy this great location in the summer! Michael created a wonderful environment for guests and responded quickly whenever needed. Thank you, Michael !!

Summary: This is a wonderful house, with everything you need. The lake is stunning and the most beautiful setting for a gathering or getaway. There are large windows throughout the house, so the views are on display whether inside or out. Michael is very quick to respond to any questions, and super accommodating. I hope to go back soon!
