Francesca is a lovely fresh, clean and modern 2 bedroom detached property situated in the depths of the Italian countryside.
This spacious private house has been renovated with love and care, and has a well equipped brand new living/kitchen/diner, a luxury bathroom, and two good sized bedrooms (one double, and 2nd bedroom can be double or twin and has 2 children beds).
Whilst furnished in a modern style, there are traditional twists with the odd piece of period furniture, beamed ceilings and internal shutters on the windows.
The overall effect is of a very relaxing airy holiday home…
The private pool is also brand new, and is currently being finished in the garden, where there will also be a BBQ, sunbathing area, relaxing zone, and eating area for dining al fresco. Relaxing rural living!

Enter house into hallway, and on the left to :
Open plan living/kitchen/diner, with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and washing machine. Comfy seating with double sofabed. TV with DVD player. WIFI. This is a spacious living area with high vaulted beamed ceilings, and windows with great views!
From hallway on the right to:
Two good size double bedrooms (one double, and 2nd bedroom can be double or twin and has 2 children beds)
From hallway ahead to:
Luxury shower room, with good sized shower cubicle, sink, WC and bidet.
Garden:
The garden surrounds the house on 3 sides.
There is a private swimming pool, BBQ, eating area and relaxing area.
This is a brand new to the market, fresh and good value holiday home.
Parking.
The area:
Francesca is situated just 600m from an ancient traditional Italian mountain village which has a bar and shop, which is ideal for essentials and sitting with a drink taking in local life.
The property is also less than 5 minute drive from the larger village of Piazza al Serchio with all facilities including traditional shops, supermarket and Tuesday morning market when the small village really comes alive. There are also some bars, a couple of restaurants a river and a train station for easy exploring.
Whilst in the depths of the countryside, the house is well located for exploring the local market town of Catselnuovo which is a 20 minute drive, the gorgeous and popular mediaeval town of Barga which is a 35 minute drive and the stunning walled mediaeval city of Lucca which is say 1 hour and 10 minutes away. Pisa, with its leaning tower is a 90 minute drive, and one can visit Florence in 2 hours. The famous Wind Caves are a 45 minute drive.
Closer to home there are plenty of little historic villages to visit, many of which have local festas in the summer. There are also the lakes of Gramalazzo, Vagli (with its hidden village submerged by the water) and Pontecosi, and some guests love to swim in the river. Francesca is also ideally located for visiting the local Fortress at Verrucole which is a good afternoon out, with stunning views and some interactive activities for the children. Also close by is the Buffardello tree climbing and zip wire park (ideal for both adults and children of all ages with a variety of runs) where one can take a picnic and spend the entire day in the welcome shade of the forest.
The real beauty of this area is the dramatic mountain scenery, and the hundreds of hilltop villages to explore, endless picnicking opportunities, and the pure peace of a non touristy holiday ......

Summary: We had a relaxing,memorable stay enjoying the well-equipped villa which is in a wonderful location for breathtaking views and exploring hilltop villages, local lakes and Lucca. We had everything we needed and for the few food items we wanted there are plenty of local shops a short drive away or the very helpful and friendly bar/shop in Casciana-also great for a beer/wine after a walk/day out. Communication with Francesca was excellent before and during our stay. There are plenty of local walks from the villa, quite a lot of hills involved, however, a car is essential for exploring further afield. We came away feeling totally relaxed and refreshed having explored what must be some of the most beautiful parts of Tuscany. Thank you and we hope to be back.

Summary: We loved staying at the villa! We had all we needed, the scenery is breathtaking. The pool was cold but very welcoming when it was a hot day. The garden is perfect. The villa is remote, away from it all. But there are a lot of lovely villages to visit. The road to the house is challenging especially when you travel with a big Mercedes Sprinter, but the longer we stayed the more casual it went. We will have beautiful memories of this holiday. Summary: We had a great holiday in this cottage. The landlady is very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of tips for trips and restaurants. The house has great facilities such as pool, air conditioning and WiFi. It is in a very quiet location on the mountain, the nearest small town is a few hundred meters away. We had a very relaxing holiday!

Summary: Nice, complete and well-kept house in the mountains near Camporgiano, Lucca. Two large bedrooms and a spacious living room / kitchen. Togetther with a nice swimming pool and sunny terrace make it a wonderful stay. The only disadvantages we can think of; - it is quite remote (you realy need your car / small distances take a long time in this part of Tuscany); -the beds creaked a bit ; - and don't expect too much from the WIFI (stability and speed). But if you want to relax in in a beautiful setting, this is the place to be!

Summary: Spent a week here in early July and really enjoyed the villa. Children loved the pool and the views from the villa were fantastic. It’s very rural, perfect if you enjoy privacy and quiet, but the nearby village had a shop, a bar, where the locals were the most friendly people. Also close to larger towns/villages with good restaurants and handy train stations which we used to travel to Pisa, the amazing Lucca, Florence and Cinque Terre, saving the amount of time spent on incredibly windy local roads. Francesca was very friendly and helpful with one or two minor problems we had. A lovely stay.
