This holiday home is situated 3km east off Reefton in the historical settlement of Blacks Point . The cottage backs onto the Inangahua River, great for summer swimming. Excellent fishing area. Close to the bush - excellent tramping hunting and mountain biking opportunities. Blacks Point has a museum where an extensive collection of historical items are on show. There is also a working water driven gold stamper. The nearby town of Reefton is steeped in gold and coal mining history . The town has a golf course, hotels, cafes, and an information centre.
NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels);

Summary: Was shocked we had to bring own sheets, towels, tea towels for the price of stay, never had to at other bookabach.. Wanted us to clean at end of stay, Paying all that money so we don't have to clean.. Also it wasn't clean when we arrived.. Cleaning after the price to stay there plus a cleaning fee on top.. I don't think so.. Spring sticking up of mattress in middle bedroom.. No spear blankets and the ones there were so thin.. Went there for the river.. There is NO way down to the river and no way back up cliff, let a lone get the canoe down to it.. I still enjoyed just being there listening to the birds and the river..

Summary: This was a lovely place to stay for 5 nights while we explored walking tracks around the Reefton area. It was a very short drive into Reefton for stocking up and charging our car. Chris is a great host.

Summary: Very tranquil spot and such a lovely cottage! Wish I knew of this property the last time I stayed nearby. And the owner is great and responded very quickly to any questions. I would highly recommend this property to anyone and everyone! Love this cottage!

Summary: Beautiful secluded property with mature trees and garden, with river at back of property.Very restful, charming and calming.House fully equipped with everything you'd need, with comfortable beds and sofa.Loved our stay and time spent at Black's Point museum. Would definitely recommend.
