Summary: The Gite was ideal for two people. Situated in a beautiful area and village. Wonderful .garden. Charming hosts. Could not ask for more.

Summary: We booked both Muscat and Riesling gites, which share a floor of the house next to the owners, which as we were two couples meant that we had some privacy while being able to share the large kitchen/diner in Muscat for breakfast, occasional meals and plenty of the fantastic Alsace wine. Danielle was very helpful. The garden is small but did provide3 the view of adjacent vineyards and up to the Castle on a nearby hill, where the eagle and raptor displays take place. A patio area with loungers was used at the end of days exploring the area which has some fantastic and stunningly beautiful medieval villages within an easy driver - Ribeauville, Riquewihr, Bergheim standing out. Numerous vineyards in which to try the wine. We can strongly recommend Domaine Dussourt in Scherwiller 3-4 miles away where we had a cellar tour and tasted (and bought) many great wines. Also recommended is Engel in Orschwiller which is barely a mile away. We had a wonderful week at Relais des Vignes - great accommodation at a reasonable price and absolutely placed to explore the most beautiful part of the Route du Vin. Also close enough to Switzerland (Basel 50 miles) and Germany.
