Summary: This cabin was special due to the fact that my boyfriend's family owned it way back in the day so it was really nostalgic for him even with all of the renovations. It is EXACTLY as pictured so no surprises. I loved the black & white scheme and I especially loved the VERY old luggage trunk on display in the upstairs (very nice touch!) We had a great weekend spending time on both floors and can't wait to go back in warmer months to spend time on the lake!

Summary: Five friends and I were there for a trail race a Burr Oak State Park. The check is process was easy, but if you arrive after dark, you will need lights to find the gravel driveway and the key and key holes. The layout of the cottage is very convenient. The kitchen area is downstairs so we could unload our vehicles right into the downstairs. Appliances are updated and the kitchen has plenty of room. It is very spacious and the two living areas makes it very comfortable. There is a washer and dryer too. It could use some extra blankets, so you may want to bring some if you are visiting in the winter. The host responds quickly to emails. This was such a gem and made our weekend getaway easy and enjoyable.

Summary: In the area for the Mammoth March. This place was perfect!!! Communications with owner was great from the start! Place was very nice and very clean. Really roomy! There were 5 of us and a golden retriever! We had a great stay! Grill and fire pit very nice!

Summary: Great place near the lake with ALL the TV’s to keep the family happy. Beds are great and it was pretty quiet other than the occasional truck driving by to the boat ramp. Had a unique smell that I figured out to be well water. We’re from big city so probably just not used to it.

Summary: The Chene Cottage is a very nice place to stay near Burr Oak Lake. It’s well built and roomy with an interesting contemporary design. Three bedrooms and two full bathrooms were plenty for us! The large kitchen is on the lower level adjacent to the bar and dining area with a lot of windows for viewing the scenery. We really enjoyed our stay there!

Summary: This propery was gorgeous. It was a pleasure staying. We really enjoyed having a grill and fire pit. The downstairs area was spacious and a perfect place to hangout. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything you would need. We will definitely be coming back. We were very pleased our 4 legged pets were welcome.
