Kus Yuvasi (The Birds Nest) is a unique property within the gated and very secure Club Patara resort with a small terrace garden and a separate stunning sea view veranda balcony. A flight of stone steps leads from a small pathway up to the private terrace garden and from there up again to the secluded veranda balcony. The long shady balcony offers breathtaking views of Kalkan bay and privacy for guests. Inside is a single level apartment with cool internal stone walls and floors. A long open plan living area has French doors onto the Veranda and features a well equipped kitchen, a dining area and lounge. To the rear of the apartment are two bedrooms and a comfortable large shower bathroom.
Kus Yuvasi is located within the beautiful Roman style village of Patara Prince Resort, where dusky pink villas descend through cobbled streets, through tropical gardens to the private blue flag awarded sea front.

Summary: The apartment was absolutely beautiful for myself and my partner and our friends. It was clean and had all appropriate amenities. The balcony was perfect and being able to bbq each night helped keep going out costs lower. The kitchen and bathroom have recently been refurbished to a lovely high standard. The water tap gets to boiling really quickly which is one thing to note as we burnt ourselves in the first couple of days but soon got the hang of it. More information on supermarkets that deliver and butchers etc could’ve been useful however kalkan is a beautiful village so we just spent a couple of days exploring to find this out for ourselves. Overall the Patara Prince resort is okay, the breakfasts were overpriced for what they were so we just used the apartment for food and unfortunately the piano terrace bar is closed. The staff aren’t as attentive as at the many beach clubs around kalkan but it’s perfect for a quick dip after a long day in the heat before heading back to the apartment.

Summary: We stayed for 10 days in this beautiful, clean and comfortable villa with stunning views and after getting used to the steps (and there was a lot of them, approx 300 to the bottom pool and about 180 to the children's pool!! But there is a shuttle bus to take you back and forth if you need) it was just an amazing place. We spent a lot of our time by the children's pool as it was quieter and with the glorious views of Kalkan from the infinity pool, what more could you wish for. The only downside to the holiday was that there was no welcome pack for us on arrival, and as we were late arriving and had no drinks etc with us, and nowhere open it was a little bit of a pain. However the man on security provided us with water to see us through until the morning. All the staff were great, and the food was fab in the hotel. We had stayed in Kalkan before, which is a small town which feels safe. No complaints whatsoever and I certainly hope to come back and stay another time.

Summary: Being on a hotel complex was really good. The apartment is well located but you do need to understand that the whole complex is built on a steep hillside. The apartment is midway up, which we thought was good in terms of an amazing view and access to the hotel, which is at the bottom of the hill. There is another swimmng pool at the top of the complex (about 175 steps from the apartment!). The hotel is a little 'tired' (but that could have been Covid related) and the same could be said about the apartment. But that didn't alter our enjoyment. The only thing I would say was that with 4 of us, having one small bathroom was a little 'tight'. You can walk to Kalkan in 15-20 minutes or get a cab from about £2. Ross and Emma were great hosts (and even managed to somehow replace a toaster within 30 minutes of me reporting it!). All in all we would go back,

Summary: We’ve had a wonderful holiday at Kus Yuvasi. The location, at the edge of Kalkan offers idyllic stunning views and sunsets while ensuring the old town and harbour is easy to reach. We had a choice of the main pool, adult pool or sea bathing platforms at sea level, or the kids pool above, served by a free shuttle bus that will drop you very near the apartment. Emma and Ross were perfect hosts, arranged an airport transfer for us, and dealt promptly with any niggles or questions that arose. The apartment provided everything that our family of four needed for a two week holiday, and we’ve all agreed it was our best holiday yet. We will be back

Summary: The “cottage” is really charming but the views over Kalkan bay are simply stunning. The Patara Prince resort is a really cool place with large pools and sunloungers. My top tip is to go to the kids pool up near the supermarket which is actually an infinity pool with stunning views across Kalkan bay. We had exclusive use a few times during our stay and there were never more than 3 families there during the whole of our stay. Kalkan Beach Park is walking distance from the apartment. The trampoline 😳 and slide are great fun just don’t look too closely at the trampoline !! Kalkan itself is just fantastic the food is absolutely amazing and ludicrously cheap We went on a boat trip with Captain Ali on Korsan and swam with turtles absolutely superb day with a home cooked meal onboard as well. It was less than £20 a head which was stunning value for 8 hours on board Cafe Leon and Sade were great places to eat and drink but there are too many to mention Jeep safari with Define Tours is fantastic fun especially with kids (I won’t spoil the surprise) ours loved it , the saklikent gorge is brilliant with the rafting and mud baths Patara beach is also lovely Ross and Emma are great to deal with everything very smooth with no issues Just book it you won’t be disappointed We are definitely going back to Kalkan in a large villa with friends it’s just a fantastic place

Summary: We are a family of 4 and have recently returned from a two week holiday in Kus Yuvasi. We had a really straightforward journey to Kalkan from Bristol. It was such a comfort to know that Ross and Emma had arranged for someone to meet us at the airport and take us to the apartment. The journey from Dalaman is about 1.5hours, but was very a comfortable and a smooth one. We arrived at night and so were completely bowled over when we saw the views from the balcony the following morning. Kalkan and the surrounding area is beautiful and we are really looking forward to visiting again. We decided not to hire a car and found the local taxi and dolmus service to be cheap and prompt so we still got out and about. There is so much to do in the area, we didn't even scratch the surface but our highlights were the boat trip around the local bays (we used Korsan, which was recommended to us by a friend and it was fantastic and we cannot recommend it highly enough). We also loved Saklkent Gorge walk and rafting- absolutely stunning! The apartment itself was comfortable and large and accommodated us well. There were a couple of maintenance issues that occurred while we were there, which can happen anywhere, anytime, but they were dealt with promptly and fairly by Ross and so we were very happy indeed (but is the only reason I can't quite give it 5 stars). Patara Prince Resort was fantastic- there are a choice of swimming pools, restaurants and the sea in the area is crystal clear and refreshing. We were visited almost every day by a turtle! Also worth mentioning that the other holiday makers were a lovely crowd too, we felt really welcomed and everyone was respectful of eachother's space and belongings (no early morning claiming of sunbeds!!) We had a fabulous holiday, we cannot wait to go back.

Summary: My partner & I stayed at Emma & Ross's apartment for 12 nights. The apartment has everything you could need, cooker, washing machine, plenty of utensils whilst the bedrooms and very comfortable whilst being cool and dark due to the back of the property being very shaded from properties behind. The star of the show was the view from the balcony of the town and out to sea, which was simply stunning. I would be happy to recommend the property to others and to stay there again in the future!
