Positive: The breakfast was delicious. Fresh bread, croissants, pain perdue, porridge, etc. Freshly squeezed orange juice as well. The room was beautiful and the bed comfortable. The grounds are well kept and relaxing to walk around. And it's a 16th chateau! So neat to experience sleeping in a castle.
Negative: Nothing.
Summary: Excellent value for fabulous castle stay.

Positive: 6 months before our stay, our hostess Minka was so helpful with booking local restaurants and a brilliant taxi company which were likely to be busy due to it being Circuit des Remparts week in Angouleme. On arrival we were able to park securely and sit down with a few local beers. Over the following two days Minka gave us some more great assistance including stepping up in the face of a medical emergency. She really is a fantastic hostess, both personable and efficient at the same time; it seems nothing is beyond her! The hotel rooms, including a residents' lounge are well presented in a style that matches the building and the wifi works well. A beautiful hotel, very capably run and we will definitely book again if we are travelling that way. Recommended.

Positive: Beautiful chateau situated a little out of town. Loved the charm and decor of the property and the freedom we were given by the hostess Minka. Very comfy room, good car parking and very quiet location.
