Positive: Staying for 2 nights in the Chateau gave us a typical French experience. Our host, Dennis, gave us valuable information of places to visit in the area and also about the history of the Chateau. He also gave us fresh fruit from his garden to enjoy during our roadtrip.

Negative: The road signs to the property needs upgrading as we found it difficult to find the place.

Positive: The owner was nothing but accommodating giving us a drink in welcome giving us lots of local information checking everything morning how we were and just making you feel at ease. Would highly recommend this to stay in meet people from all over the world! Was 10 people staying when I visited my party were from the UK. But we had Germans Italians Americans and Spanish all at the same breakfast table such a good friendly environment.

Negative: The only thing that would be a negative is how far you are from everything ! But that is also a positive !!!

Positive: This is a lovely country house in a calm environment run by a Franco-Russian couple. The room was well decorated, and the living and dining rooms were also nice. Breakfast is included, and we were offered a welcome drink. The dog begs for belly rubs.

Negative: The kitchen is available for use, so we used it after confirming with the owner. Unfortunately, it’s so dirty that we skipped breakfast the second day, and regretted eating it the first. If you catch the owner in a good mood, it’s on you to keep him that way. You have the feeling that he is allowing you to stay in his house, rather than being a guest in a guesthouse.

Summary: Not a bad stay - if you can keep on the owner’s good side.
