Summary: Seven of us - Australian friends - stayed in the house for two weeks and had a wonderful time. The house is attractive and comfortable and very well equipped. Having several bathrooms made it easy to share. The vill age is pleasant and has adequate facilities although a car is useful. We explored the village, walked along the canal and made excursions to places further away like Vezelay, Avallon, Chablis and Noyers and others, The countryside is beautiful. Highly recommended.

Summary: We highly recommend this holiday home having spent a Christmas holiday here. Having already visited it in the summer and enjoyed swimming in the river, picnicking on the banks and visiting the Chablis vineyards and Vezelay, not to mention cycling along the tracks (which was perfect for our son who wasn't confident but became a cyclist after the experience),we decided to book for the winter holidays. Chatel Censoir offers a peaceful, traditional village atmosphere with its market, church bells, and beautiful architecture. We enjoyed reading by the fireplace with a glass of the local wine, games and family time interspersed with visits to Vezelay, Christmas concerts and walks in the area. It is close enough to Paris for a day trip, but mainly it offers all the traditional charm of a village unchanged in this fast paced world. The house is beautifully renovated combining modern conveniences yet still retaining its Burgundy identity. A real find!
