This well kept waterfront smoke free home is the perfect getaway for one or two families. The direct views of the Chesapeake Bay are spectacular from the living room, kitchen, front porch, as well as the 2 master bedroom suites on the second floor. The house is located on 1 acre of private and very quiet property. The two master suites each have a queen bed, and a day bed. They share a 6 foot whirlpool tub, with locking doors from each bedroom. The first floor bedroom has a queen bed and full bath. The living room also has a sleep sofa.
Water views of the Bay are fabulous, whether in the house, or relaxing on our hammock in the shade of the trees, or comfortably sitting on our 80 foot pier. In addition, the Bay offers breathtaking sunsets and relaxing breezes, while watching sailboats, fishing boats and ships cruise along the water.
This home is located in the fishing village of Deal Island on the Tangier Sound. If you rise early on a foggy morning, you may experience hearing our loon that loves to swim around the pier.
The afternoon brings in the pelicans as they fly overhead and the evenings offer wonderful stargazing.
The house is located in a very private sub-division, just a half mile from the deal Island Bridge and marina.
Both ends of the island offer public boat ramps, where you can see local skipjack and fishing captains. Charter fishing and cruises can be reserved with boat captains at Wenona and Deal Island harbours. You will also enjoy hiking, fishing or crabbing. This is a great place to relax and decompress from the fast pace of city life.
Guests are encouraged to stock up on groceries at the Food Lion in Princess Anne, which also has several Eastern shore-style restaurants, as well as fast food choices. .

Summary: This place is wonderful! Spacious and well- appointed, clean, quiet, and lovely. It is nowhere near a grocery store or gas station, but if you know that going in, you can plan accordingly. We spent a couple of days visiting wineries and local venues, and some precious very needed time reading, relaxing, watching spectacular sunsets, spotting dolphins, and even tried kayaking! The property is just as described, make sure to follow the directions given by the owner, not Google! Thank you for a spectacular vacation!

Summary: Organized a fishing trip with fraternity brothers in Deal Island, MD. This house was perfect. Very clean, nice amenities and right on the water. I had rented 2 houses, but everyone came to this house to enjoy the water and weather. Very happy with the lodging, communication and we had a great time.

Summary: When we entered the house food was in the frig and freezer. Garbage was left in the garbage can in the kitchen. Stove, frig, table was not clean so I called VRBO. My answer I received was you need to call the owner. He told me he cleaned it himself so I told him his cleaning and my cleaning are two different things. I have pictures. The door where you enter looks like a junk yard. Old boat, old grill, old lawn tractor and the outside shower I wouldn't put a dog in it.

Summary: Very nice place quiet peaceful the views were fabulous. The owner was kind attentive and generous. In exchange for all of that peace and quiet,You will drive 30 minutes minimum to a grocery store or a decent restaurant. All that said, We would come here again.

Summary: We were disappointed when we arrived. The front entrance area wasn't pictured online and now I know why. It was trashy looking with multiple trashcans, a lawnmower, boat with torn cover, an outdoor shower that had life jackets hanging from it, a jet ski - everything was everywhere and it looked tacky. Inside was pretty clean. There was an open beer bottle left out. The kitchen had items that needed wiping down or even washed. The toilet bowls were dirty (inside bowl). Overall, the inside of the house was pretty clean. there are no blinds upstairs. So, on a hot day it will be hard to keep it cool. The owners do not want you to open any windows. This you'll learn when you arrive. The owner would answer some questions. And, others - he just wouldn't reply at all. I had to call VRBO to find out if the house was available to rent because I didn't get an answer from the owner. Nice dock and we enjoyed sitting out by the water. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Summary: WEhad avery nice time at this house. it is an older, very comfortable house with an outstanding view. our grandson throughly enjoyed fishing and crabbing. the neighborhood is very quiet but we were entertained by fireworks friday thru MONDAY nights. the kitchen was very well equipped please note that the indoorsteps are quite steep. we would recommend this place.
