Initially purchased for our own family weekend getaways when the pandemic hit, we are now ready to share this piece of paradise with the rest of the world! Since we’ve stayed here many, many times, we have thought of almost everything you will need, to truly get away. Just bring yourselves, your food, your personal belongings, and you are set!
The 1, 644 sq ft, A-frame home, has an open floor plan, and 9'+ ceilings. Guests can spread out across multiple relaxing areas, both indoors and out. Dine or lounge in the bonus Florida room. The wood-burning fireplace makes this home, as inviting in Fall/Winter/Spring, as it is in Summer.
With 3 bedrooms, 2 recently UPDATED bathrooms, and an UPDATED kitchen complete with a large farmhouse sink, you may stay with friends and/or family, adults and/or children. The 3 queen beds can accommodate 6 guests, but there is also room for 2 more, on the pull-out sofa bed in the living room. Please be aware that the sofa bed does not compare to the regular beds, with regards to comfort.
Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Chesapeake Bay through the walls of glass. Watch the ships go by, listen to the birds squawking, and hear the waves rolling. You are so close to the Bay, just open the sliding glass doors to feel the breeze. If you’re not an early riser and happen to miss the incredible sunrise over the water, simply soak in the sun’s rays from the expansive upper level and lower level decks.
You can be a beach bum and chill all day, or engage in a variety of activities. Try your hand at fishing from the pier. Roast marshmallows over the fire pit while your toes are dipped in sand. Summary: The property is cozy and beautiful. Very nice view of pier and the bay from the main living areas and upstairs bedroom. Great decks (downstairs and upstairs) to enjoy the views while drinking our morning coffee and/or sunbathing.

Summary: If you are looking to get away from it all this is the place for you. You are not completely remove from civilization, but you are on excluded peninsula between Chesapeake Bay on the Potomac River with just a few neighbors. It was a great place to unwind and recharge the batteries. Great sunrises and great for star grazing while sitting around the burn pit.

Summary: Our family stayed here for a few nights and the house was perfect. The house was well maintained and Dina was very helpful. They had lots of thoughtful details that made it all a smooth process. Having our own pier was special and the nature in Scotland is spectacular! This trip was everything we’d hoped it would be!

Summary: This is a beautiful location and a nice beach home. There were some minor problems to start, but Dina the host was able to resolve quite quickly. Kitchen was just okay, some dishes had been put away not clean. The bathrooms were nicely decorated, although the upstairs shower and toilet was not cleaned well. Bedrooms were cozy and roomy. Living room, dining room all very comfortable and well appointed. The outside space was very super nice and spacious from the decks, firepit, pier and the little beach area on the property. The best beach was the one a short walk up the road, where we had the whole beach (large area) to ourselves! And our dog Willow Creek absolutely loved swimming in the bay. We biked to Point Look Out and to the beach several times. A very safe and peaceful neighborhood and vacation. Thank you for sharing your home!

Summary: This is a beautiful property right on the water. It's a very quiet street. Actually didn't see any neighbors during our stay. The fire pit/sand area is lovely. My toddler loved playing there. During low tide there is a bit of a sandy area that allows you to get into the bar right in front of the house. My kids got in everyday! The water was a bit cold but kids don't care! The beach down the street was also great. The house itself was perfect for my group. Rooms were spacious and well decorated. Do note that 2 of the bedrooms have platform beds near the floor. We traveled with my parent's in their late 70's who had a hard time w/ those beds and stayed in the room with the normal bed. Beds were firm but comfy. Kitchen had all we needed. Would have loved to have a table outdoors to use while eating. We did take a table from inside out to eat crabs! Didn't want to stink the house up. We made it work! Dina was great. Very responsive and friendly. Had zero issues w/ communication. We can't wait to return! We are thinking of booking again in the fall!

Summary: Cozy cottage right on the water. Enjoyed sitting on the deck admiring the view and watching the nesting family of Osprey. The kitchen is small and has the basics as far as pots and pans. Very little prep area if you plan to cook. Host provided lots of coffee and tea choices as well as spices to use. Beds were pretty comfortable but mine was very low to the ground! Appliances worked well but are older. We enjoyed the deck and the enclosed porch when it was chilly. Our biggest issue was there weren’t enough chairs for all 6 of us to hang out. We had to move some chairs outside. The living room doesn’t accommodate 6 people either. The views are great. Walk to the beach is an easy 5-10 minutes. Neighbors are friendly. The fenced in yard is great for dogs or to keep young children from the water. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and got in some good R&R.

Summary: We love, LOVED, the property and the overall attentiveness and engagement of Dina, our host. Dina is even attentive to our pups as there was a small doggie bed for them to lounge in. The kids especially loved the twinkling lights in their room! They also made great use of the shovel and buckets at nearby Point Lookout. We also found seaglass at Point Lookout and during low tide at the house! We loved the wraparound gates so our pups could run around. Unfortunately, we could not enjoy the fire pit or the pier much because it was rainy throughout our trip except for the last day! The front seat view of the rolling waters made up for it! We even saw a gorgeous lightning storm from the dining area! We get water views from the kitchen, dining, living, and florida rooms! We would have loved to access the wraparound porch upstairs as that was a feature that made the house so unique - hopefully, in a warmer month we can. We usually head down south for our family trips so it was actually nice to stay somewhere closer to home. We cannot thank Dina for her hospitality, thoughtfulness, and kindness. She was open to all of our questions and was very supportive when we ended up leaving something behind at the house. Elizabeth, her manager, is also super helpful and attentive. They made the trip as relaxing, fun, and memorable as possible despite the crazy weather. Thank you so much for a great and very memorable trip!

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The view can't be beat. We enjoyed watching the birds and the container ships on the horizon. It was March so we weren't outside very much but the views from inside the house are perfect. Pier and sandy beach area are also great. The house was very clean and outfitted with everything that we needed. We didn't need to bring towels, sheets, soap or anything for the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms are spacious. Kitchen seemed well supplied although we didn't do a lot of cooking. We spent most of our time relaxing in the Florida room enjoying the views. Would definitely visit again! Check-in was extremely easy and the owner is delightful and responds quickly to texts. Highly recommend a stay at this lovely home.
