Chiffchaff Cottage is a charming traditional Norfolk flint cottage set in the peaceful village location of West Raynham, away from the crowds and busy roads yet within easy reach of the coast, local facilities and places of interest.
This relaxed and welcoming cottage is lovingly restored and styled, while still retaining plenty of character. The cosy wood burning stove in the traditional brick surround fireplace is a real draw, along with the comfortable sofas and dining table. Interesting artworks as well as Smart television, Blu-Ray Player, books and a wall map of the area will help you settle in and plan your days. The well-equipped kitchen is a couple of steps down, where you will find all you need to cook up a storm. A ground floor utility/shower room here is a useful addition too. Upstairs you will find two beautifully furnished bedrooms, with a spacious double bed and full size bunkbeds, all with luxurious towels and linens. The jack-and-jill bathroom has heated towel rail and bath with shower over, so you can enjoy a lovely hot soak after a day exploring. Outside across a communal walkway is a pretty private garden room, a delightful spot to relax in whatever time of year, as many a returning guest will testify! The enclosed mature garden beyond has a gravelled area with seating to enjoy dining alfresco or wallowing in the silence as you sit under the stars.
This little gem of a cottage sits in a row of period cottages across the lane from the village chapel, and overlooks undulating, immaculately maintained picturesque parkland belonging to the West Raynham estate. It makes an ideal romantic getaway for keen walkers and birdwatchers, and those who like to explore lesser known areas of Norfolk as well as the coast. Dogs and children are welcome too.

Summary: A lovely cosy cottage with ample space for 2 adults and a 10 year old. Located in a very quiet village with lovely walks from the door and within an easy 30 minute drive to the coast. A nicely kept garden with tables and chairs to enjoy sunny days, a garden room to relax. Soft furnishings were comfortable and the kitchen had everything you need for a holiday stay.

Summary: Chiff Chaff Cottage was just perfect for our family of four, and our goldendoodle, for a relaxing end of year break. It's a fabulous location for a peaceful stay and ideally placed for exploring the stunning north Norfolk beaches of Wells, Holkham, Brancaster etc. The house itself is super clean, modern and cosy and the owners had thought of everything - doggy poo bags, dishwasher/washing capsules, cleaning products, bin liners, hand wash, linen, spare blankets, coat hangers and more. They'd even put a stylish Christmas tree up! We were particularly grateful for the luxurious hamper of local Norfolk treats - very generous. Great Wifi connection, log burner and parking right outside the front door. We didn't use it but there is a separate summer house, courtyard and fully fenced garden. You will love it here.

Summary: The cottage is very well maintained and has everything needed, the little touches of essentials being provided on arrival are a bonus. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great when we visited so couldn't explore the area, but from what we could see there are options for walks from the cottage which would have been great with our dog.

Summary: A lovely North Norfolk village with very friendly neighbours, great for children and dogs. Beautiful beaches approx 30mins away, which are very accessible and dog friendly.

Summary: While not our first choice (having been moved from a cottage in Ringstead) ChiffChaff cottage was a delight. Clean and comfortable, Chiffchaff cottage is not as close to the coast as the village of Ringstead but its location makes it ideal as it is more central to the area. I would certainly visit again.
