Positive: We purchased the dinner and breakfast upon booking the room. Both were excellent. I notified the hotel that I could not each raw fish and they were able to provide substitutions for my meals. They were very polite and the attention to detail was superb. We also booked rooms with private baths outdoors and they were so, so lovely!

Positive: Really lovely tradition ryokan! Greeted by the friendly boss and his staff upon arrival. Love the relaxing vibe. It’s so children friendly and our kids love feeding the ducks and fishes at the pond in front of our rooms. Very clean and cosy rooms. The in-room onsen was a big bonus. Very suitable for family staying together. Although location is quite far off, it really pays off with the fantastic view of the mountains and nature. Food was exceptional as well. Very good portion and variety. Stayed for 3 nights and had a really good time! :)

Positive: Loved the omakase each night and huge breakfast each morning. We left early one morning for a day trip but the staff packed us a Bento since we missed breakfast. The staff were all incredibly friendly and hospitable.

Positive: Private onsen at a great price. This is our first time trying Japanese traditional meal and we loved them! They are extremely polite and take great care of us. Love it!

Negative: We went during winter private and did not take into account that the shower is outdoor so we had to take a cold shower every night. The ryokan has private showers options so please choose correctly especially if you all are booking during winter.
