Positive: Location, room, restaurant. The room was huge and a very comfortable bed. It was just a few steps to the restaurant overlooking the sea and then you could walk straight into the beautiful quiet beach with comfortable loungers. The breakfast was perfect. Different choice of eggs each day preceded by granola with fruit and coffee/tea and a juice. This is a lively whiter part of the beach which was sandy and calm. The perfect part of Tulum if you want quiet nights (although maybe we were just lucky!
Negative: Coffee machine in room charged the same price for a coffee from the pod machine as ordering in the restaurant. Only found out at checkout that one coffee a day is included in the price. Also some inconsistency with room cleaning. BUT we were given an upgrade to a room with a balcony and plunge pool for a very small increase in price and the difference between that and the cheaper room was huge! It was a lovely room!
Summary: Perfect location, comfortable room, beautiful beach - if only we could have stayed longer!

Positive: This is our third time staying at Chiringuito with our family (two adults, three children. The property is a perfect size, located in a very quiet part of Tulum Beach, with very nice shops and restaurants within walking distance. So the location is great. The layout of the property is great. Our children are always close, whether they are at the beach, in the restaurant, in the pool, or playing with the cats at the front desk. And the room-types we chose, the stacked rooms in one building, work perfectly for our family. Our kids stay downstairs, we stay upstairs with the deck and private pool. It's quite luxurious. The pool upstairs is quiet, peaceful, and the perfect place to unwind. The restaurant food, and service, is great. We've gotten to know some of the waitstaff over the years, which is always nice, and Santos was there again this year. He took care of us, making sure our children were happy with smoothies in-hand. Breakfast in the restaurant, overlooking the sunrise and the beach, is one of our favorite times as a family. Finally, coming back for three years, it's really comfortable and the management / staff remember us. They make everything easy for us, which we appreciate.
Summary: The perfect place to get away wit hour family.

Positive: We found room 1 absolutely stunning. It is huge with an evenly huge terrasse overlooking the beach club, the beach and the sea. Thanks to the integrated mosquito nets the sliding window can stay open all night. We loved to drift off into a deep sleep in the gorgeous bed listening to the sounds of the sea. The style is minimalistic and sleek with stylish furniture. Very soothing. Also the tropical garden with a very pretty pool is lovely. we would not hesitate to come back.
Negative: The breakfast is quite good but also a bit monodimensional, it could be more mexican. The room service was a bit unreliable: some day the bed was made sometimes not, same with the refilling of the mini bar. But this doesn't vreally count in comparison to the outstanding qualities of this amazing small luxury hide away.
Summary: we would not hesitate to come back

Positive: We had a wonderful stay at this cozy hotel in South Tulum. It’s located a bit far from the party zone, which made it extremely quiet, relaxing, and perfect for a chill getaway. We stayed in the ocean-view suite with a private pool, and the room was absolutely amazing. The terrace view was truly breathtaking and one of the highlights of our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Communication via WhatsApp was excellent and very convenient for ordering room service and asking questions throughout the stay. The hotel also has a beautiful sandy beach right in front, with gorgeous sunbeds that made it easy to relax and enjoy the ocean. Overall, this is a beautiful, peaceful hotel with stunning views, excellent service, and a very relaxing atmosphere. With a few small improvements, it could be truly exceptional.
Negative: There are a few points that could be improved. The private pool water was quite cold, with no option to heat it, so it was more suitable for a quick dip rather than proper use. It would also be nice to have fresh cold bottled water in the minibar instead of a water dispenser. While the room itself was kept very clean, the rooftop pool was not cleaned during our stay and became quite dirty after a couple of days. Additionally, the toilet had a slight unpleasant smell at times, which could be improved with better ventilation or maintenance. It’s also worth noting that fresh water seems to be a general issue in Tulum, as the shower and bathroom water were quite salty—similar to ocean water—though this is likely beyond the hotel’s control. Room service was only available until 6 p.m., so ordering dinner to the room wasn’t possible. However, breakfast room service was included and free of charge, which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was delicious and clearly prepared with care, but the variety was limited. Each day, the main choice was essentially the type of eggs you wanted (scrambled, omelet, poached, etc.). While the quality was great, a bit more variety would make it even better.

Positive: We had the master suite with ocean view and private rooftop pool. The room was stunning, great view, very spacious and fantastic dressing room.
Negative: The tip policy was very uncomfortable, every time we received a bill (including complimentary breakfast) we were asked for a tip and the service was not particularly friendly or welcoming. The bed was not very comfortable, the bathroom had an unpleasant smell for the whole duration of the stay. It was super unclear what was included in the breakfast as they dont have physical menus and for the price we paid, i would have expected a choice of breakfast items and not the bare minimum. There was a lot of noise from the hotel next door, which is about 1-2 meters from the master suite(bare in mind this is the quiet end of Tulum so ypu expect it to be a little quiter than the main section), very early on our second day we were awoken by shouting and whooping on the rooftop, and in the evening till very late there was a party. Im all for fun a d this wouldn't usually bother me, but it was very very noisy for our room, there was no mention on the event at check in to pre-warn us and I didnt receive a response from the front desk when I enquired what time the party would be going on until. It really didn't feel like it was worth US$1,512.08 for 2 nights unfortunately.
