Positive: The personnel were excellent and most helpful. The breakfast was fresh and ample portions in a quiet environment. The upgraded room was fantastic - just be aware that our bedroom was up a flight of stairs so guests should be aware if they have issues with walking. Super gardens and very quiet. Would be an excellent location for a celebration (Wedding/Family gathering).
Negative: Everything was excellent - just to be aware of the access to Bedrooms is by stairs.
Summary: A great stopover for our tour of the South of England - will look to book again.

Positive: Room was right at the very top of the Hotel so as you can imagine at 78 yrs old and a 76 year old it was quite a climb, maybe we should have asked for a lower floor? The cooked breakfast was lukewarm and such a shame as it did look good, we were down for breakfast on the Sunday at 8am as well? We would stay again but not have the breakfast perhaps.

Positive: Very old, quaint building. Well equipped room. Lovely breakfast
Negative: Despite a new carpet in the room, it needed a little modernising. A TV which is a bit more up to date and easy to navigate, a clean up of tiling.

Positive: I did not have breakfast but I did enjoy an afternoon tea outside on the patio area. It was a lovely setting and the tea was fab. I particularly loved the fact that the tea was served in beautiful china pots and cups and saucers. The staff were very friendly and had been trained well in their positions.
Negative: Nothing, this hotel lived up to my expectations for the price point.

Positive: The Sunday lunch was amazing and the beef was wonderful. My soufflé starter was amazing too. Had a very pleasant room. Everywhere was clean. The pull flush yes a pull flush was temperamental and gave up not flushing by the end of our overnight stay.
Negative: Lovely property if not a bit chilly. Didn’t ask for heating to go on in room as thought it may get too hot to sleep in the room.
Summary: Lovely stay and would go back again. Staff very helpful and polite.
