Positive: A step up from camping. In the village, next to the pier/docking area, with a coupon for breakfast at one restaurant. There are two other restaurants for dinner. The seafood one was great, and they take you to the fridge and ask you what you want and then offer cooking options. Great center for the Troy area, including Troy itself with the site and the new museum and all the way down to Assos.

Negative: The rooms are tiny, but clean and serviceable.

Summary: Convenient center for touring the Troy area.

Positive: The location is lovely, in the middle of the village and beside the sea and there are many historical sites to visit nearby. The water is particularly clear and it is very popular in summer; however, we stayed in November and were the last guests for the season, so it was very quiet. Our room was clean and cosy, comfortable and simply furnished and we were warmly welcomed by the staff and owner.

Negative: Nothing really. However, since it would be very hot in summer, perhaps a small fridge would be a useful addition and certainly tea and coffee making facilities.

Positive: Lovely quaint simple place a little out of the way, with a really nice harbour with grocery shop and several nice restaurants right there. The rounded stone/sand beach is close by, and the water is nice. People speak poor English all around but you get by with some key words and gestures. As foreigners (one Kenyan and one Swede) you get the impression of being the talk of the town in a good way. People are friendly and curious and want to speak to you even without knowing English. Just say Merhaba and smile and you have a conversation going! Try the seafood restaurant by the beach. Excellent, but remember to order less than you think as they always bring A LOT of food.
