Positive: You get to stay at an authentic Japanese style home, just like in those movies or Japanese drama series! Bath room and toilet are brand new and equipped with Toto. Dining room table is huge and can accommodate up to 10 people, and the host even provided some soup sachets for late night supper urges. The host was supper helpful and allowed me keep luggage to a later time after check out.

Negative: The wind was quite strong on the night we stayed, so the sliding door rattled a little, but once the wind died down, it was acceptable. Depending how you view this, it’s fully authentic. But if you’re a light sleeper, then you may want to find something to cushion the outward sliding doors.

Summary: Stay at an authentic traditional Japanese house with all modern bathroom and appliances.
