Restaurants (dozen) , newest Uptown mall and food court. 10 minute walk( Walmart) , Tillicum mall: 15 minutes (6 cinemas), & largest Mayfair mall: 5 minutes. Canadian Legion and local pubs: A&W, Subway, Dennys. Tims, McDonalds , KFC, Wendy’s, red Lion, pizza shop all within 10 min walk or I will drive you and with a phone call, pick you up ( up to 10 pm ) or take a long walk (or bike )along the famous Galloping Goose Trail , (next door) where you can walk to Sooke or Sidney or until you are tired; then phone me and I will come and pick you up . Or, It’s only just a short 20 minute walk to a scenic waterfront pub style restaurant along the beautifully treed Galloping Goose Trail. Parking is off the street at your door; monitored on your phone. You really do Not need a car. 5 mins walk to bus. $2.50 bus fare takes you as far as Sydney or Sooke or $5.00 lets you ride all day. faster than your car. VRBO is very greedy.I have never declined a booking contrary as shown. I can sleep 6 adults, or I can handle 1 small dog (15 lbs) and I do not do parties etc. It’s in my listings. If you call with 2 dogs or 8 adults etc my unit cannot handle that. VRBO call it a “decline” whereas the guest should have never tried to book. VRBO more interested in making money than keeping both guests and hosts comfortable .
