Positive: Excellent location for us as we were visiting nearby. The view across to Vancouver. It was quiet. The kitchen was bright and spacious, and the continental breakfast food plentiful and easily found.
Negative: The name City Garden Suites B&B! This seems a misnomer as the plain accommodations, the washrooms (and their unfriendly signage), and the common kitchen felt like those of a hostel. We would have liked to understand that prior to our stay. No staff on site, so I wonder who was to empty the dishwasher and dish rack filled with clean dishes?

Positive: I’ve never stayed at a place like this and it was fun! Met people from all over the world, had some great conversations…it gets you out of your comfort zone when you’re sharing a house. The kitchen area is bright and cheerful with treats and supplies provided. I enjoyed relaxing on the balcony, taking in the amazing view. My bed was so comfy I didn’t want to get out of it. I also appreciated that there was on-site parking and free wifi. The neighbourhood is safe and rather quiet.
Negative: The place could use some freshening up overall. I didn’t have a TV in my room, which would have been nice, but not a big deal. It’s really noticeable in the morning when the other guests are up-sound really carries.

Positive: Easy access, facilities all in working order, and clean, free parking. The bed was great! I wouldn't pay extra for the view next time, as the bed in my room faced away from the window. The hosts were not present at all, which was fine with me, but it was not easy to ask questions in person, as everything was handled through email.
Negative: No one is monitoring noise levels in the kitchen after 10:00 pm.
Summary: More like a hostel than a BnB, but with better beds!
