Negative: Gentleman at the reception desk was very dry and seemed not very happy. He had very condescending way of addressing guests. Even though it's pet friendly and have parking on site - charges are not specified when booking. You find out at the reception desk (28€ for a dog + 14€ for parking) Wardrobe was stuck and the door to our room was blocked by the bathroom door Reception didn't offer any fee cancellations or anything apart from water

Positive: Good and historic hotel in a fine location close to the town center. Check in and check out were very smooth and quick. The breakfast has a great choice of items. The room is clean and comfortable.
Negative: I complained about a broken light bulb, which kept flashing; it was then removed, but not replaced (although this was promised for the next morning).

Positive: Comfortable bed and quiet rooms in a nice hotel in centre of Liberec. Breakfast was amazing.
Negative: I was firstly disappointed about the hotel’s non- refundable reservation. We had to cancel one room two weeks before arrival and the hotel kept our money including for breakfast. I will never book a hotel with this policy again. Then there was a lack of clarity about parking. When we arrived we saw parking spaces for Zlaty lev but not for clarion - we then followed the only signs available which took us into the tight space at the back of the building. We were then told by reception that not only we have to pay 150kc per day per parking ( which we did not expect) we were also made to look silly for parking there, being told that it’s for other visitors. When I was asked to sign some docs, I asked where the pen was and the reception staff just pointed (it still was not clear what he was pointing at) I felt his response was rather rude. The instructions how to find our rooms were limited. Staff generally seemed unfriendly, uninterested, just doing the bare minimum to help. When we were leaving we asked about how to get the barrier to open from the back car park without our hotel card. They did not bother to establish which car park - just told us the barrier is already open and if not we can just buzz them. We looked for a buzzer - nowhere to be seen. I felt that they did not care. The rooms were smaller than on pics - e.g. on pics they had two chairs in room but really there was only space for one and under a lamp so no space for your head. The Wi-Fi was very poor. We also ordered one room with twin bed and one with joint beds / both rooms had same bed arrangement. Liberec was ok as a town but on the way out we found the roads in the city confusing and unclear, especially around the Fügnerova street.
Summary: Our experience did not spoil our stay but I don’t think I would stay at that hotel again. I would also try to avoid driv

Positive: Everything. Breakfast is excellent, rooms are nice, quiet, clean, with fridge and everything else you need. The location of the hotel is excellent, in the centre, on the evening of arrival there is a great pizzeria in the main square about 100 metres away. The building, faithful to its tradition, has an excellent atmosphere and very sophisticated furnishings, such as a café with a library-like interior. Staff are polite, speak English, work quickly, efficiently, impeccably. I am happy to recommend the hotel - and because it is a return trip once a year, I have no intention of staying anywhere else in the coming years.
Negative: Everything was to our liking, an unexpectedly outstanding hotel. One tip, which is a very small one: the parking arrangements are impeccable, in a guarded car park in front of the building. According to the reviews and our experience, there is always a space. However, advance booking is not possible: a mistake. We almost never book in a hotel where parking is not guaranteed, this was a rare and lucky exception. This is also the case for many other travellers.
