Summary: The grounds are so pretty and relaxing. Breakfast was great and the staff were very courteous and accommodating. The rooms seem a bit worn but it was clean and comfortable.

Summary: I was impressed with this hotel as the on site amenities—restaurant, sitting areas, and pool were beyond what I had hoped for. The staff was extremely helpful and overall I would definitely stay here again. They outshined much more expensive/fancy hotels on this trip.

Summary: We stopped here in our way back from Florida for an overnight stop. The front desk was les than friendly when I checked in late night. I'm not sure why because I was very friendly but the attendant clearly didn't want to be there. The property is very battered but our room was actually pretty clean and nice. I typically stay at higher end hotels so my opinion may be biased. For the price it was ok for an overnight. You get what you pay for.

Summary: This motel is perfect for people traveling with dogs. I think we were the only dogless people staying there. Had to get by 2 huge Great Danes to access pool (which was cloudy). One GD was inside pool fence, the other was near entrance gate. Another yapping dog barked every time we walked past that room. Very nice fenced area for dogs but lady with Great Dane was walking it in the grass in front of my car the next morning. My thought was she wasn’t planning to remove the deposit it probably left. I also found someone’s leftover food in my room refrigerator. The AC motor was squealing when I first got to my room but that was taken care of quickly by the maintenance man. He put new motor in within an hour of my call to front desk. Front of hotel is still really nice where restaurant.

Summary: I’m a fan of Clarion and this is the nicest one we’ve stayed at. My son says it’s better than a resort. It’s peaceful with plenty of outdoor area to relax. The pool is clean and nice. The doors are outside with parking right out the door but it was not loud. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. Shower was great. Breakfast is in the bar area of Mike Anderson’s. My son appreciated the grits and real bacon plus they had hot sauce, we are Louisiana people. Coffee was Community, we drink that at home. Overall, we were very impressed. This is on our list to stay at again.

Summary: We loved the hotel desig concept! Not the typical tall building, but instead a two-story mexican hacienda design, with gardens and trees. The lobby is beautiful and the restaurant is nice.

Summary: Every time I come home to Gonzales or visiting New Orleans, this hotel is my home away from home. The whole staff is so professional, friendly and loving. The best thing is my family and I feel safe at all times around the hotel. We know Mike Anderson’s restaurant is the best. A big thanks for those who get up early to prepare the complimentary breakfast each morning! Outstanding service and staff! See y’all again soon!!
