Summary: Way too expensive for what it is. For 2 people, the room, dinner, couple of drinks, and a spa treatment each, we spent over 800e for 1 Sunday night stay. The view is incredible, rock pool is really nice, hotel staff were very nice, room was comfortable and quiet. We ate at The Bar. The staff weren't great. Service was poor. The mains were nice but the sides and starters were bad. Dinner ended up costing 100e a head. Bottle of Bulmers was 9e. Poor value for below average food. And a lot of small issues which arent really acceptable for such an expensive hotel. The menus in The Bar were dirty and covered in bits of food. Theres a shower by the rock pool but it doesn't work. The spa area is very basic, the sauna was cold when we went to use it. Half of the lockers in the spa changing room were broken. The shower in our room ran out of hot water. For some reason the phone in the room kept ringing through the night with no one on the other end, had to get up and unplug it. Nice views, but not worth the money compared to other 5 star hotels which cost substantially less.

Summary: We have stayed at the Cliff House Hotel a number of times now and it never disappoints. From when you arrive to when you leave it is just such a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Summary: Very welcoming and one of the Most beautiful places I've ever been. We found the lift /elevator challenging but we probably would have gotten used to it if we had stay more than a night
