Summary: This property is beautiful! I'm not sure if it is or not, but it actually goves the vibe of a very old Cabin that has been added to and updated! Made me curious about the history! It is built on a cliff for real! And there are steps leading down to the River. It was not very deep when we went but it was flowing. And the river rock and the rock formations of the cliff are breathtaking. Our daugbter is at JMU and we will definitely be staying here again if we get the chance! Highly recommend!

Summary: Love this cabin for a getaway with my son, who goes to JMU. Just a few minutes from Harrisonburg, but also close to Amish country, wineries and mountain hikes. We used it as our home base for visits to Spruce Knob, Green Bank, Staunton, Shenandoah Caverns, and a quick stop at Route 11 Chips! We loved Bluestone Vinyard. We also enjoyed the very close Riven Rock park. The property itself is amazing. Beautiful landscaping with terraced steps to the river below. Nice path and beautiful wildflowers along Dry River. We loved the deck and the fire pit. It's very peaceful with the sound of water. The road noise didn't bother us, but you can hear it in the yard. We also saw a zillion shooting stars (we were there during a meteor shower). The cabin is very clean and comfortable. Nice furniture, comfy beds, well-equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the electric fireplace. It's nice. Overall, lovely place!

Summary: Our family spent a lovely long weekend at PineCliff - lovely cabin built right on the rocks overlooking Dry River. Cabin was clean and well-appointed inside - had everything we needed in terms of new appliances, pots, pans, sheets/blankets, towels etc. Coffee maker is a Bunn and doesn't work like most, but instructions were printed and easy to follow. Coffee filters, salt pepper and spices were provided, but make sure to bring your own vegetable/olive oils for cooking. The House is QUIET! If doors and windows are closed, you can't hear cars pass by on Route 33. Great for sleeping. Fire pit had ample wood, there is a small play area for kids, and a few games/puzzles for entertainment. The generous back porch overlooks the Dry river. It's incredibly peaceful. There are impressive and sturdy stairs which go down to a pathway by the river; however, we ran into the very nice neighbor and the land/path along the river belongs to them. she did say it was OK for us to hang out and play along the river bank, but be aware and respectful, as it's private property. We were in the area to drop my daughter off at Girl Scout camp, and spent the few extra days enjoying/exploring the area - it was such an easy great time, and we were thankful for the lovely house to spend it in.

Summary: We stayed here in cold temperatures so our experience may be a little different than yours - we had all doors and windows closed so you didn’t notice traffic noise much. The view out the back was stunning and exciting. There were several adjustments to be made and things to figure out, but I would DEFINITELY stay there again!
