4 Bedroom House in Haringey, London

Our lovely, light-filled 4-bedroom house offers 170 sq metres of accommodation spread across 3 floors and is within easy reach of central London.
On the ground floor is an entrance hall, sitting room with TV and DVD player, a downstairs toilet and a brand new stunning and spacious kitchen extension. Large glass sliding doors overlook our beautiful 30m private garden. The garden has two patio areas for sitting and enjoying a drink or meal, a gas barbecue and a large enclosed trampoline for children. It is extremely peaceful; you can relax to the sounds of the birds singing after a busy day in London!
On the first floor are two large bedrooms, one with a bed that can be used as a double or a single, and the other with a single bed. There is a family bathroom with bath, shower, toilet, sink and heated towel rail. There is also a smaller single bedroom.
The top floor consists of a gorgeous loft conversion with super king size bed, beautiful views of the surrounding gardens seen through bifolding doors and an “infinity balcony”, and a lovely ensuite bathroom with roll-top cast iron bath. There is also a large television in this room.
High speed wireless internet connection is available throughout the house.
Our house is situated in a quiet and safe area on the outskirts of Muswell Hill. At the end of our road is beautiful Durnsford Park with its café, tennis courts and play areas for children. We are also a ten minute walk from Alexandra Palace Park which has a boating lake, ice skating rink, café, playgrounds and soft play centre for children, along with amazing views across London.
Nearby Bounds Green and Alexandra Park Road have a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, and a 5 minute bus journey or 20 minute walk brings you to Muswell Hill, a London “village” with numerous shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs (Marks and Spencer, Sainsburys, Planet Organic, Whistles, Carluccios and plenty of individual, quirky shops). Crouch End and Highgate are also easily reached, and Highgate Woods is beautiful for a stroll.
We are easily reached by car from the A406 and there is plenty of free car parking in the road. It takes less than ten minutes to walk to Bounds Green tube station. Bounds Green is on the Piccadilly Line, and from here the journey into central London takes 20 minutes. Alexandra Palace Railway station is also a ten minute walk away. Local bus stops allow for quick journeys for example to Muswell Hill, Crouch End, Highgate and Wood Green.

Summary: This house is a great fit for a family looking to explore London. It has everything you need. It has character. Kate is a great host and communicates very politely and effectively. Just be mindful that this is not the place if you want to come and go during the day. The time it takes to/from downtown (~45min including walking to/from subway station), consumes part of your day. It's not like "let's go take a shower before we head out again". We were a family of 4 with a 10 year old kid and we were not going to clubs at night, etc, so this was not an issue for us. Highly highly recommended!

Summary: I would thoroughly recommend this property. The house is beautiful, and perfectly equipped for a family. The location is brilliant both in terms of the immediate locality, and the accessibility of central London. Kate was a kind and generous host and very easy to deal with. We would definitely stay here again when visiting London.

Summary: Can’t say enough good things about our stay! The house was spacious, super clean, very comfortable, and Kate was friendly, helpful, accommodating, and very responsive when I had any questions. I was visiting London with my two adult children and we had a blast, and this house was the perfect launching pad for each day of exploration. Takes about 10 minutes to walk to the tube and from there you can get to anywhere in London very easily. The neighborhood of the home is quiet, safe, we slept like babies. Loved our stay and feel like it was quite a lucky find. Will absolutely stay again, already searching for th next great air deal!

Summary: We had a fantastic time in London. Kate’s house made our trip very special! We absolutely recommend her place. We, a family of 5 (2 teenagers –a boy & a girl, my mom, my husband, and I), traveled from California to London and stayed there for a week in April. It was our first time to visit London. I chose Kate’s house because I wanted to feel like a home. First of all, the descriptions and the pictures are absolutely accurate. The first floor has a living room, dining room, a kitchen and a ½ bath. The house is clean and also has a nice backyard. The second floor has 3 bedrooms, each has a single bed, and a full bathroom. The loft (3rd floor) is a master suite which has a very comfortable US King size bed. Here are few notes to share: • The nearest tube station is about 10 minutes’ walk. There are a grocery store and general stores around the station. We enjoyed the daily walk, great weather, and the blooms around us. Very pretty! Just, to be prepared a lot of walking in London if your daily life doesn’t do much walking  • The house is in a residential area. The neighborhood is nice, friendly, and quiet. • 2 guinea pigs in the backyard. My kids enjoyed spending time with them so much every morning and evening when we returned. Kate offered to send them away, but my kids wanted to take care them. The 2 guinea pigs brought us a lot of joys during our stay. They made our trip so special and more fun!! • There was a problem with a toilet in the second floor. It kept running after flushing. We had to press the button several times, so it could store water for a next use. But it didn’t bother us since it’s not the only toilet in the house. • Most places accept credit cards. Since mine doesn’t charge foreign transaction fees, 98% of the trip spending was paid with a credit card in a local currency (GBP) to take advantage of a better exchange rate. Check with your credit card company. We only used cash for a general store purchase and restaurant tips. My ATM card charges 1% of foreign transaction fee and $0 for a withdrawal, I still get more compared to the currency exchange shops’ offers. • Get an Oyster card for a public transportation. We spent about £30-40 per adult. And prepared to have tons of fun :-)

Summary: This house was really lovely to stay in. The owners were very kind, communicative and clear. There is a comfortable, spacious living room and dining area off the kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped and space had been provided for our own food and drink. The garden is long and gorgeous with a trampoline at the back, which was great for the kids. It was really nice to take a seat in the sunshine with a drink. On the 1st floor there is a large family bathroom and 3 comfy bedrooms. But quite possibly the best part of the house is the new loft conversion on the 2nd floor with bi-folding doors overlooking the garden and a very large comfy bed and en-suite. The location is perfect as it is very quiet but only a 10 minute walk from Bounds Green station on the Piccadilly tube line. It takes approx. 25mins to get to central London. We would not hesitate to recommend staying here. Thank you to the family for the use of their family home. 😍
