We have WIFI! 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom house, 30-35 minute drive to Killington or Pico Mountain. Off grid, solar powered home nestled on a quiet dirt road in beautiful Stockbridge, VT. Stay warm and cozy next to the Vermont Castings wood stove after a long day of skiing. Listen to the peaceful sound of the Cold Brook as you sit on the farmer's porch and sip your coffee. Take a walk in the woods on the trails right from the property. Golf, ski, hike, or just relax. This home offers peace and tranquility. Disconnect from technology and recenter yourself. Summary: I loved making a fire in the Woodstock. Beautiful setting, but the long uphill road can be tricky with a lot of snow. Road was fine after they were scraped. We flew so bringing our own sheets & hair dryer was a pain, but overall the property is spacious and quiet. Owner is very helpful and responsive.

Summary: I wanted to thank the Scogin family that owns this property for giving my family an amazing experience, we live in northern NJ where everything is fast paced and hectic and we love it that way but being away from it all for a few days was amazing. The house is beautiful with a combination of modern and cabin touches but very airy, lots of pine and cedar inside the house complemented with light color walls, while in the property you are REALLY of the grid, no cell or WiFi and although it takes a bit to get used to once you do it’s very relaxing, just make sure you like who you are with because you will have to put your phone down and interact with them. We took our own espresso machine and every morning I sat on the porch and listened to the birds and and some frogs by the creek… better than Yoga! Make sure your vehicle is all-wheel drive, the last half mile can be tricky if snow or mud is present. Thank you so much for a great experience.

Summary: After a long, hard pandemic year, this unplugged vacation was just what we needed. The house was clean and comfortable and the location is peaceful and relaxing. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch, listening to the stream and the birds and spending time playing games as a family without the distraction of devices. Aaron was a very responsive and accommodating host and was easily reached by phone (there is cell service just up the road from the house) and he communicated clearly about the house and even provided clear written directions in case we lost gps service on the way. The only thing folks should be aware of is that the kitchen is lacking in some staples like sugar, cooking oil, spices, plastic wrap, etc. We hadn't anticipated that and had to make a trip out to the grocery store once we arrived. Thanks for a great stay!
