Positive: Quieter location a little out of town, but I find the short drive a good way to switch off after my work day.
Negative: Not a fan of rooms with adjoining doors. Sound dampening not excellent so had noisy neighbours that spoke loudly and were boisterous between 0930 and 1030 two out of four nights of my stay.

Positive: The place was very handy to the airport and in a quiet area. I didn't use any of the facilities except the pool, which was great.
Negative: The initial booking was a bit misleading. I specifically booked it for a late check out, only to find that the late check out was conditional. When booking that was not made clear. The room itself had no power points next to the bed, and for someone who uses a CPAP machine, this was unacceptable. I had to go and purchase my own extension lead just to sleep.
Summary: It was a most suitable place for me to stay because I was picking up my partner from the airport.

Positive: Location is great for being quiet and out of town in a coastal setting at Lees Point. Huge pool with almost nobody in it despite the late August hot weather. Still an easy drive into Nightcliff, city etc.
Negative: The rooms in the motel room section are advertised as having good soundproofing but we were in a ground floor room and could here all the walking/running and moving around from the room above. Really annoying late at night and in the early hours. It ruined our sleep after an exhausting drive there. No noise from adjoining rooms. Book a top floor room and it would be fine. This would not be a good option if you didn't have your own vehicle.
Summary: Great value for money in a nice coastal loaction.

Positive: Our room, although basic, was spacious, very clean and comfortable with good daily service, all the staff were very nice and obliging. The magnificent, large swimming pool was great. The airconditioning worked extremely well and the large fridge was a pleasant change from the norm.
Negative: A little sink in the room would of been nice, washing cups/glasses etc in the bathroom a bit unpleasant. Only half the washing machines in the laundry were working.
Summary: We had a very pleasant weeks stay at Club Tropical Resort with clean and comfortable facilities.
