Summary: Called 3 weeks ahead of our stay to reserve a pack 'n play for our infant and upon checking in we were told that the 2 pack 'n plays that they have had been handed out. Also only had 1 high chair in the breakfast area. As a hotel with a pool area that seems geared towards families you would think they would work to accommodate families better by having more assets available. For the price of the room it seemed like a let down.

Summary: Air conditioning wasn’t working and staff seemed to have little interest. Was told we might have to downgrade the room type. Don’t go get coffee…. The kitchen lady is very rude and don’t want you in her area.

Summary: Really underwhelmed with this hotel based on the rate- way overpriced. Hotel is quite dated. Booked a deluxe room (vs classic), nothing “deluxe” about it. Bed was comfortable. Appreciated the extra pillows. Hotel seems quiet.

Summary: Waited at counter during check in to a sign that said on a chore. Next evening both room keys wouldn’t work so went to counter to get keys and another sign that said on a chore. Lady was outside smoking

Summary: Upon checking in, even though we booked and paid through hotels.com, we were charged an additional $27 “ammenities fee” — for what? I still have no idea. They just repeated “amenities fee”. The room was as described and was relatively clean. The bathroom was very small but needs maintenance for tiles on the wall by the bathtub that are broken off. If anything, it’s outdated and unsightly. The bed was decent and the sheets were clean. The fridge was clean and kept drinks cold. We didn’t use the microwave. Our suite had 2 tvs which was convenient unless you wanted to watch different shows. This IS a dog friendly hotel which seems to be the case for most hotels in Pierre. However, our first night, there was a dog in the pool area and since my child is allergic to dog saliva - we could not use the pool. The first night there, there were children running and jumping in the room above us for about an hour. I tried calling down to the front desk and there was no answer ever for 20 minutes. I finally confronted the occupants in the room above us after 45 minutes (when it had passed “quiet time” hours and it took another 20 minutes but that seemed to resolve the issue. No - the hotel staff never knew because they weren’t even at the desk when I looked down at it from my floor. Breakfast in the morning was less than spectacular. It has your basics: cereal, packets of oatmeal, one working waffle iron, and the one staff member did his best to keep the milk fridge stocked

Summary: My family gathered as my dad passed away, we were all able to be together, have a place to talk. This hotel was the perfect place for us to stay. Staff friendly, room clean and easy access of us.

Summary: The hotel is fine - but the staff leaves something to be desired for sure. There were clothes in the dresser drawer and candy wrappers on the floor when we checked in. Everyone was exhausted from a long drive and just wanted to swim so we let it go. There was a youth baseball team staying in town and the kids were unsupervised in the pool, running the wrong way up the slide, screaming and yelling and playing way too crazy considering the little kids also trying to swim. Never saw a staff once come in to tell them to stop. Then at night, the parents threw a full blown party right outside our room in the breakfast area. I finally stopped hearing them around 1:30am. I called down three times to complain that they were keeping my kids up but no one answered the phone. Also, the shower was so slippery that both of my kids fell getting out - that could’ve been really bad if they would’ve hit their head. No notice or warning that it is curved and extremely slippery - someone is going to get injured. Very disappointing stay - especially for $225 in Pierre SD!!
