Positive: Cobblestone was a perfect location for the event we traveled to in Wickenburg. The staff when checking in was very kind and treated us with respect. The breakfast was good. The room was very clean. There was plenty of towels and an toiletries in the room.
Negative: It would have been nice to have some gluten free options for the breakfast for one of our family members. I booked using Booking.com and it caused some confusion and problems when I was checking out. The front desk indicated that my credit card was declined when I checked out. I was able to confirm with my credit card that I had been charged by Booking.com, which I was then told that I had paid Booking.com and next time to call the hotel directly. I questioned why they would be advertising with a third-party and was told that they were a small establishment and needed their help in booking reservations. The confusion with the attendant was they had not received the actual payment and Booking.com had. I was completely confused because I had not been given any notification, when I checked in the night before, of any payment problems. I was told to be careful when I use third party booking apps/companies. Just a heads up! I did not appreciate them accusing me of having a "declined" credit card when the room had been paid for with Booking.com. The status of my credit card had nothing to do with me, but rather, their system and relationship with Booking.com.
Summary: Next time I need a hotel in Wickenburg, I will call to the actual hotel.
