Take the ferry to Mackinaw Island from Mackinaw City or from St. Ignace. Or take a 30 minute drive to Petoskey and enjoy shopping and eating downtown.

Summary: Great communication with property owner! Very clean and plenty of room. And had everything we could possibly need. The deck was perfect for morning coffee and hanging out on the river side.

Summary: We ended up booking Joe's Black River Hideaway at the very last minute, when other plans fell through. Nick was very responsive (even when I gave him the wrong check-in date!) The cabin had everything we could ask for. I particularly enjoyed the three-season room, where I spent most of my time, watching the river as I had my coffee in the morning, and watching the sunset in the evening. What a great experience.

Summary: We stayed at the house over the July 4th week with 4 adults and 2 children. The house was perfect and had everything we could possibly need. Beautiful setting right on the river. We brought our boat and kept it at the dock for our stay which made it so convenient. The owner was very responsive and got back to me within minutes during our stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway!

Summary: The hosts were very helpful and the cabin was a great home away from home during our trip up north. It had everything we needed and is in a beautiful, quiet location. Perfect for relaxing and taking in the sights and sounds of the Northwoods!

Summary: If you love boating you will love staying at this "cabin". Beautiful views on the Black River. Large dock for your boat, to lay in the sun, watch wildlife, or swim. Comfortable living area and comfy beds. If you're a fisherman you won't be disappointed. The kitchen is large and has everything you need to cook the fish you catch. I recommend this rental for a very relaxing stay.
